Just curious how would the citadel and its races react to the elder dragons particularly the likes of xeno’jiiva/safi’jiiva,altatreon,the gore/shagaru Magala and fatalis himself?

Wow, the new world seems to REALLY hate the citadel explorers as most of the groups that crash landed here have seemingly faced against the deadliest possible monsters in each area, the group that crashed landed in the rotten vale have it the worst though(doubt many of them will survive against the odogaron if their weapons could barley scratch a great girros and it's pack.) but it seems slowly but surely the hunters are meeting the explorers though this chapters encounter is not the friendliest so far and now hunter shepherd has become a prisoner of one of the groups.

Though I have to ask that while you answered a guests question of how the citadel races would try but ultimately fail to control the monsters the salarians being the main culprit in such an attempt(which could hint at a Jurassic park style scenario occurring in the future) but said that elder dragons are a impossible goal which i 100% agree with, but I have to ask will the citadel races try to control and weaponize the elder dragons?

Obviously they'll fail but they would have to attempt such a foolish thing to realize that.

Anyway great chapter! I can't wait to see the next one and I hope you use my Selena character I wrote in a review of the previous chapter(I'll repost it with a few modifications I made), here's hope you stay healthy and safe.

History:Selene was once a village girl 10 years old known for her compassion, always caring for others who can't help themselves such as injured animals or her friends in need of help, always wanting everyone to be happy. but her perfect life would be gone forever as a powerful elder dragon(alatreon)had attacked her village killing everyone,Selenes mother had pushed her into a nearby hole to save her daughters life but the elder dragon caught up to them and slashed at Selenes back before falling in the hole leaving a four claw shaped scar on her back before getting knocked out. by the time she woke up her family and friends would be left as charred corpses. From that day on Selene swore to never had others face what she did and promised to avenge her village and kill the elder dragon responsible no matter what. So she trained constantly bulking her body to physical peak to be the strongest possible to protect others as she always did known as "the gentle giant" for her size and strength in battle with an impressive kill count in her career, Selene is a beloved hunter and one of the best known. She has so far killed most recently a furious rajang.

Handler:her handler is a young man with a somewhat stocky yet still very fit, being the same age as Selena he's known as Stefan who is very close to Selene admiring her compassion and drive to protect others while Selena admires his funny and stubborn will to help other when needed. he acts as her database and information guild while giving strategies and ideas to beat a target monster and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty and fight as he willingly participates in Selenes training regimen at times. I had read it and damn, the fight was epic ! So much action, good story telling, all was here ! And did s Maya manage to strangle a Drell ? If I remember, it's almost impossible because of their throat sack and heart, no ?

But I don't understand, why Maya pull her strenght ? She can't see an alien, and in monster hunter, everyone have great strenght.

For potion, I wonder if they really heal in a des seconds. Citadel have medigel, and it's not a far stretch to think that species like the Krohan can really have that speed of regeneration from an enchancer.

I wonder how the MHW culture is ? They have gunpowder and good architectural skill, but after ? I wonder if they have domesticated the monster of this world, with how they can serve a number of use. That and some monster are really smart, like Rajang and Kulu-yaku.

Well, I honestly think that the Citadel races are super lucky they haven’t gotten all killed yet. But they sure are unlucky bumping into the various apexes of each area. Getting ravaged by Girros sucks though.

The fact that Shepard found the ship is great. I guess humanity knowing about handheld firearms makes sense, but I think that it wouldnt be as widespread of knowledge. From what I remember, there isn’t much human to human crimes to warrant small arms in the monster hunter universe. However, it would be simple enough for them to generally know about it if they know about Ancient Civilization tech. Kind of sucks that Shepard is forced to surrender.

Great chapter. Can you not have potions or instant healing items in the story? Having them in videos games(and some magical fantasy) is one thing, but in a written story like this, it just takes away some of that realism. I want the shot and/or stab wound to have consequences, not have a healing factor in a bottle.

I have a question though do the humans of mass effect still exist in the mass effect universe? Or does the world of monster hunter take their place.

I'm just concerned that once the citadel and the rest of the galactic community hear of the monsters in the monster hunter world will try to weaponize them due to them basically being powerful animals with super powers especially the elder dragons due to being practically being forces of nature with most capable of destroying and causing calamity to entire continents at most.
