I love this story so far. I also like “Empathy” and would love to see that continued.
I know your thesis for these stories is that Tom Marvolo Riddle was not conceived with a love potion, but I feel it would have been better if he turned out okay because more people reached out to him than in “canon”. I like that we’re seeing how the obsession with “blood purity” is clearly causing grief among Tom’s friends, so he’s less inclined to support it than in canon.
Also, I love that one of his closest friends in Harry’s gran! She’s saving the world and doesn’t even know it!
...Hopefully she won’t be too mad when she learns Tom’s been fibbing...

Very interesting story. I like it so far and am curious to see where it goes. It's funny you mention the Sorting Hat song because I had a blast writing the one for my story, haha. But I may feel differently when I need to write another.

I like your story very much, specially the parts that we see Tom Riddle as a smart, curious, muggleborn wizard discovering the wizard world and dealing with the political games in it.
But seeing your 'Monty', third year Gryffindor, as Fleamont Potter made me laugh imagining him creating the Sleekeazy Potion as a baby/toddler. It seems that Potters are at their best when they in that age, as Monty's grandson defeated a very dangerous Dark Lord about that age in canon :)

Just because you gave a guy empathy doesn’t mean he is magically a coward. Tom has no empathy but that is not the reason he was so well liked in hogwarts he gained his followers by being cunning and dominate. You are pretty much just writing oc characters at this point.
