This is a conundrum, can Ruby really understand about sharing, and can Jaime share the same love for the girls that he has with Ruby, and it is not impossible to love someone, with the same type of love, that's like saying, a Parent, can't love His/ Her, children equally, sure, there are things that can make them love them for different reasons, and love that person somewhat more. That doesn't mean having that kind of love isn't Impossible.

Weiss, forgiving Jaune for flirting with her/asking her out? He did it very very few times and over many weeks in the show. She also blew him off, which just encourages people to try harder, or ignored him, which just makes them think she didn't hear, or says she doesn't want to go do X thing, which doesn't mean she doesn't want to do something else. When a girl isn't interested in you but isn't a bitch about it, she plainly says so. When Weiss does it, she doesn't actually tell him she's not interested and her attempts to imply it (which aren't really attempts to do so) imply other things as well she didn't intend.

I wish writers would stop bringing up Jaune asking her out as though he bothered or harassed her or something. That wasn't what happened. Besides that I think the stories that have her secretly enjoying his pursuit of her got it right (or would if RoosterTeeth knew anything about people instead of making everyone batshit insane and nonsensical). She *never* chastises him or complains about him asking her out or any of his antics. She never tells him to stop. She never fails to respond to him when he asks her out (even if it's just "No", which is more than anyone else would get when asking out an Ice Queen). She treats him normally and so clearly has nothing against him for his pursuit of her. She entrusts him with Blake's secret even before the rest of JNPR knew (which also implies Blake's trusts of Jaune, too). From an adult perspective, she seems to be leading him on in the early seasons of the show. Giving him crumbs of attention, not shunning him for his supposed "harassment" or whatever, never telling him to stop or even implying she wants him to stop, spending time with him (enough for them to canonically become close friends off-screen), etc.
