I do wish they would also do away with the word "Muggle", always sounded like "muddled" to me. Non-magical would do just as well and wouldn't be so condescending.

Perfect way to express horrors to a child. It's not easy, but the truth is better than a well-meaning lie or ignoring it as if it never occurred. That makes it harder on the child to understand if we wait until they are grown to explain sad occurrences to them.
