I was just re-reading some of my favourites, and I realized I never left a review here before, so I'm righting my wrong :P
I love this so much! That it's mostly Mamoru's POV, Usagi throwing the shoe again, Mina realising she loves Mamoru and making everything so so difficult! Love it.
I really want to read that smut scene now, though I'm not sure it would make me feel better or worse xD
Anyyywaaaays, I'm leaving a vote here for a continuation of this story, if you ever feel like it :D

Such a hopeful journey that came crashing down at the end in a beautiful and exquisitely well-written scene. One can’t help but hope that they will find their path together soon enough. Thank you for this wonderful story!

Okay. So I’m working through tabs I opened but didn’t have time to read. THIS SUCKER NEEDS SUCH A MASSIVE CLIFFIE WARNING?! Oh man, oh ouch. I loved it so much but also now want to cry in a corner for an hour? It was a great reworking of canon and I absolutely adored the twist in Mamo remembering but my heart is dead. You killed it with your talented, murdery prose. I’m imagining that the veeeeeery next day she confesses to Mamoru and he tells her everything and apologizes all over himself and these f-ers live HAPPILY EVERY AFTER - THE END!

Bruh. I need a proper conclusion!

So I've had this story open in a tab on my computer for like, three weeks now, because
1. I'm a chronic tabbed browser (yes, yes, I know it slows down performance)
2. I keep coming back and rereading bits and pieces of it, and
3. I've been trying to find the right words to gush about just how damn good it is. I don't know that I really HAVE, but we're gonna try.

First off, you completely NAIL Mamoru's tone of voice. The 'aloof because the alternative is getting hurt' manner he has comes through SO WELL here, especially with his negative feelings about his own self and his own behavior.
I also adore your Usagi, and how she's bright and bubbly but conflicted and especially how she is basically introduced by telling a child that it's okay to cry while simultaneously trying to make them feel better and holy crap, can she be my best friend?

Oh, god, the scene with the dance at Motoki's party, told from both their perspectives, is just soul-crushing. Like, it's sad when it's just from Mamoru's perspective, but once you get to see how Usagi felt about it it's just... all I want to do is flail and shake my computer screen and be like "Nooooooooo, admit your feelings to each other, dammit!"
Mamoru merging back with Tux is amazing too, how quickly and concisely you hit the points of those memories, his priorities, AND THEN SHE DOESN'T REMEMBER HIM, WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO US.
And Mamoru's pain about her not remembering and him being his outsider still is like a dagger in the heart, while his guilt about what he did while brainwashed just makes me want to weep.

As does "a constant chorus of she doesn’t want you she doesn’t want you echoing in his mind." Like, damn, did you have to go that hard?

HER KICKING HER BOOT ON HIS HEAD. MY GOD. And once you find out WHY she kicked her boot on his head, it's just so much worse.

But him putting that boot back on her is just... oh man, it's like something from a fairy tale.

Also, can I just say, I freaking love Minako. That Usagi never actually spoke her feelings for Mamoru aloud, but she still knew them and gently turned Tuxedo Mask away for her friend, trying to stop anyone from getting hurt? I mean, clearly that backfired (I WANT TO HUG POOR MAMORU) but it's still such a sweet little moment showcasing how much she clearly loves Usagi.

And I love the idea of them having "Smash the Patriarchy Now!" on their fridge, yes!

Overall, a well-written, heartrending story with lots of pining and angst and it's wonderful.

If ever you did decide to write a sequel to this, I would love, love, love to read it, but honestly this could also just live as an open-ended (sad!) standalone.

That was unexpected! What a crazy amount of good stuff in this one-shot. I really like this type of mutual pining. Cause it doesn’t get old, and it only makes you more excited to read. This is the genre I didn’t know I needed. Im glad for the rec. This was worth the read. Thank you. Good job!

YOOOOOOO HOW DID I MISS THIS FIC!?

It is so damn PERFECT. The ending! The angst! I love love love this concept so freaking much that I really do hope you continue it (and with that smut scene you omitted because like helloooooo!). this is gorgeous and I hope you write more!

Oh my gosh. This was so wonderful. The ending made me sad, only cause I wanted more, but I thought everything in this one shot was so well written and brought out so many feelings. The angsty mutual pining and all the miscommunication was so well done! Thank you. I loved this.

I’m not sure how I didn’t see this sooner?! Okay, so, wow. This was so good. Like I mean, this is a totally-sucked-me-in all the best combinations of all the best things kind of story! I loved this whole thing. But I think my favorite thing was your Mamoru? He was so beautifully broken and PERFRCT and vulnerable and everything that he is? With all the doubt and the angst and the PINING? and the sil mil memories. My soooul! And the fact that he is the one that remembers and that moment when he realizes she made the wish, and all he can think about is the torture he inflicted under beryl. My heart hurt for him! The the shoe thing, and the miscommunication that is so signature MamoxUsa! I loved your Minako too. And the including of smash the patriarchy on the fridge! LOVED THAT. And, okay. The only thing that made me scream NOOOOOOOOO was definitely the ending. Because I could read a million pages of this! Loved it so much!

Omg, Tina! This story is seriously amazing! The feels and heartbreak. Broken Mamo is my jam but the fact that he didn't have a happy ending is killing my soul! The fact that they are pining for each other and don't even realize it is fantastic. But man, I REALLY hope. you write a sequel. Mamo needs to be happyyyy!

Seriously, this story had kept hooked from beginning to end. And really is helping to pull me out of a funk I'm in. I love it, girl! I can't wait to read more!
