This story has been great. Excellent writing. Best rewrite of GT fic in years.

I'm enjoying Goku's character arc alot more than I do when I read other GT fics. So new and fresh. I don't think this has been done before. Goku reconnecting
with his friends and interacting with them was so strange and interesting, I mean I know I said have his character to do this but never thought it'll be like this. You can get that feel sense of discomfort from that Goku that he's having trouble dealing everyday problems from his friends but manages to overcome them in his own way, and characters like Krillin having doubt and issues while not surprising but what is surprising is that Goku helping him out in a typical Goku-way. (Pretty sure something similar like this happen on Super but this was better turnout.) And Majin Buu too. Can't wait to see more of this.

The mentions of Yamcha and Tien has left me excited. The dragonball writers have truly fail them, including Toriyama. On GT, they didn't appear at all until the end and on Super, Yamcha turned into a comic relief character and not the good kind and Tien may gotten some action but he isn't faring any better. Why is it that only fanfiction and fan mangas have done them justice? In fanfics (the ones that I know) Yamcha finally get his happy ending by being rich, living off of baseball career and/or opening his own martial arts school (wolf or turtle) and marrying one of the girls from Dragonball (mostly Suno the girl Goku met from Jingle village.) Tien is a hard case, his life seem ok in Super. In a fan manga, it gives insight what would be like if Tien and Launch got together and had a daughter together (in fanfics usually a son).

I won't say anything about Piccolo, I want to surprise myself and other readers; just now that I enjoyed what you're doing with him and that reintroducing Garlic Jr is smart choice. I completely forgot about him and his past with Kami (and the nameless namek) and the Lookout with the past Guardian of Earth.

I really like the writing behind Gohan's character, his conflicted thoughts and feelings (how it affects those around him because of this); his reaction to his daughter being 'lost in space' and her reckless decisions. So real and so in-character. We never saw Gohan how reacted and felt when Pan hijacked the grand tour to go with Trunks and Goku on the show so this is nice touch. Look forward to see more what else you do with his character.

Perhaps I've been too harsh on GT because while Super is good show, it has it's own flaws such as the God of Destructions and the overuse of Gods in general really. I wish they introduce the Supreme Kai of Time from the Xenoverse games instead of the Omni King (what's the point of his character?! Even MasakoX says that his character is pointless). It would've made the dragonball universe bigger and interconnect with other dragonball media (Xeno, Heroes ect.). I understand why the god of destructions are needed due to them being the other half of gods of creation: the Supreme Kais and keeping each other in check and balance and order all that. Plus I find the Omni King erasing universes and everything on a whim or because he's bored annoying and disturbing. It makes every other situation the Z-fighters go through meaningless. (Wrong way of 'raising the steaks' Toriyama!) Plus characters (coughGokuandVegetacough) who keep getting god Ki are too overpowered and unrealistic power ups which also includes the villians.

God, also it really bothers me what they did with Future Trunks too. Why was the point the constant hints that Future Trunks' timeline can be altered due to a God's intervention or destroying Goku Black's time ring on the show if it was going to wiped out (and forcing Trunks to live in a world that's not his). I understand
the whole 'actions have consequences and live with them' but that the wrong way to go. It seem like Super was finally going to introduce the old concept of Time Travel (the one where the future changes when the past is altered) but that got toss out of the window when the Omni King arrive on the scene. Massive disservice. :(

Sorry for the rant, I know what I said has nothing to do with the story but I just can't help but realize that Super has it's own flaws just as GT.

Awesome story. I love how you made this story better than GT in canon. I hope Pan can learn how to stop acting immature.

Great story so far! Yep definitely different. I mean it was still obvious that Pan hijacking the grand tour was bound to happen anyway but Uub and Hercule part taking the trip was surprising turn of events. I'm disappointed that Trunks and Goten didn't go, heck even Bulla. (So many wasted opportunities there too on the show.) Although I do like that a little moment where Trunks and Bulla help Bulma with the ship. Brief family moment I didn't know I needed plus this confirms these three are very close when it comes in science department. Hope there's more of this family bonding later with Vegeta included.

I love that Goku is spending time with Chi-chi(finally!). However I don't like his attitude and how he's treating Chi-Chi but at same time, I'm glad he shows doubt about setting down competely when he talked to Vegeta and how he feels out of place when it comes to normalcy. Very sudden change in his character. Hope you explore more on that. You should have him reintroduce to the Z-fighters and how they went on with their lives. (The show did very dirty to the Z-fighters and it's happen on Super too.)

I see that you're taking the same route as Super is doing with Gohan and Piccolo's characters, well Super did a much better job with their characters than GT did. GT really fuck up with Piccolo, he was wasted even though there was so much to be done with his character especially in Black Star Dragonball saga. There was so much to uncover with Black Star Dragonballs and their past and Piccolo's (as Kami, King Piccolo and the nameless Namek) past. Pilaf mention something about the Black Star Dragonballs's origin in the beginning of the show but it never mention again after episode one. :/

Interesting take of Dragonball GT. So different from canon. I'm glad Goku didn't turn into a kid in this story. Reasons why that happen in the show was because they were trying bring and recreate what made Dragonball (the original series) special back. Kid Goku was one of them. (It was the days before the Adult Goku became iconic.) Plus they were trying to handicap Goku because he was too overpower after Z. But sady it was poorly executed, Goku should've turn back in to a Adult after Black Star Dragonball saga or atleast Baby saga. GT had so much potential, so many ideas and so many fall outs. Can't wait to see more of this story and how you're fixing GT and making it better.

I just finished this, it's amazing so far! When do you think that you'll have the next episode finished by? Don't worry, I'm not one of those who is ignorant about how it takes a long time to write something like this, I'm just curious. I know that people can have very busy schedules, I know what that's like.
