I going to assume that the gods were super tyrannical in reality (Jinn was made by the God of Light of course she going to be biased about them) and that they lied to Ozma to make him their pawn to prepare for their eventual return and Salem has to save Remnant from her brainwashed husband's schemes that unknowingly to him will bring about either the apocalypse or an eternity of servitude for Mankind. Is that about right?
