A fine end to this story. I loved the way you brought in Luke, Wedge, and Leia and how Tycho came to see that he had brought more than just the code cylinders to the Alliance. His confidence in his decision and his role grows so beautifully through the chapter. I really enjoyed the whole story. Thank you for sharing it.

I guess it makes sense that the Alliance would be skeptical of his tale. And Tycho seemed to be in a sort of shock, just going where he was told and answering the thousands of questions. I loved seeing Winter here, especially knowing that someday they will get married. This has been wonderful so far.

The path Tycho took as he worked his way toward defection was handled deftly. The Rebels' reaction to his claim to be from Alderaan is so subtle, yet there is such a clear subtext. Nice work.

I love the EU and Tycho was always one of my favorites. I'm so glad to see a story about his defection from the Empire. His progression in this chapter from his mild uneasiness at the beginning to the moment he admits to himself the Empire lied is so credible. And the last couple of sentences pack quite a punch.

Was the bad spy remark an Easter egg about how Tycho was accused of being a spy in the X-Wing novels?

This story is a brilliant exploration of the Orwellian nature of life serving a totalitarian regime, and deserves more attention and praise.
