I loved it. You wrote a wonderful back story for Dafydd, Nigel & little Ianto. I kind of expected to read that Dafydd left Ianto his farm, I can picture Ianto & Jack going there for short holidays.
I was going along ok until Ianto spoke to Jack near the end, that was when I started crying. Beautiful song lyrics too.

This was lovely, gentle and poignant. I loved the background memories you created for each of them, and the way each reacted as the other shared their past. Also, a beautiful song (I googled, and even though I'm not big on Country music the version by Brad Paisley was beautiful). Can't help wondering what "other plans" Jack had in mind for after Ianto passes (maybe another story to explore this?). Thank you for sharing.
