You have it backwards, the Christmas tree was a Yule tradition that the Cristians stole and put for their holiday that they decide to make on the same day Yule was held. Jesus was not even born on the 25th of December and the Druidic tradition worshiped around that kind of tree during that time, because it is a special kind of evergreen, and so one of the green trees at that time of year. Also the whole presents and feasting thing was also taken from Yule. The original Christmas holiday tradition was basically go to Church and pray for the whole day and don’t do Yule things. They did the same thing for all saints day on November first which used to be the day of Halloween, however for that day they just moved the holiday one day forward or one day backward which is the day of the dead on November 2. They threw Easter right on the spring solstice. I am pretty sure the egg thing was a spring solstice thing as well, because eggs sure didn’t come from Jesus. I stopped reading when MC decided to reward Tonks for being a creepy stalker that thinks that she deserves to know about him.

I liked it but the pace was a bit off by the end.
Some things didn't make much sense like hermione not killing the MC or him conveniently getting those stolen memories. (I was kinda waiting for a house elf rescue or something)
The reasons for the MC to want to go back to his world are a bit weak, sure they made sense in the beginning but by they end it just sounded like 'I want to go home because current entertainment suck balls'
I approve not going for tonks or fleur. Or anyone really.
I kinda wanted at least a one liner regarding tonks like 'we tried but it didn't work out'

Anyway, I liked this enough to read it in one go.

I think you are a depressed dude man. From what you described there is no reason why you would even want to go back to your own time. There was no family friends or anything. Maybe the idea that you were in a fake world was an excuse but if so then why were you experimenting.

It seemed like you just had these ideas that went nowhere at all All the stuff you could have been doing just meh. I don't see how albus couldn't have done what hermione and take the knowledge either if he was a bad dude, or if he was good guy he would have forced you to have friends etc.

Overall it was a one shot and I read it so you had your purpose. I think you should get help though

I kinda liked it...soooo...l will be looking forward for its next update. I wonder what universe he'll end up in? Will his Harry Potter knowledge of magic be any use in the new universe? or will he even be able to keep his Harry Potter type magic in the new world I wonder?

Got a god bit into it was going great but I had to drop it as soon as I found out your going to have your Si Neville tell Dumbledore everything he knows not even going to bother going any further but for what it's worth I did enjoy what I did read.
