I've read a couple of your other stories at this point so I'd thought I'd at least give this one a try.

I wasn't honestly sure what to expect at first, my first thoughts being either time travel or an AU where Jaune and Summer were in fact the same age.

Seeing them be at there Canon age's was a surprise but I decided to keep reading as even at the first chapter the characters seemed very well written.

Now that's I've read the entire thing I can easily say this is by far the best and well written story regarding this sort of topic.

It was gratifying to see how Jaune stayed in character throughout and how Summer was a character that fit what traits we know of her.

Overall I found the story a blast and really enjoyed it, those two not ending up together makes complete sense and I can understand you not allowing Ruby or Yang to find out.

maybe when the show is finished you could write a story where it does work out but as is it's better this way

yes very in character but please develop him. pyrrha his partner and the girl who apparently was in love with him just died saving him, and he, who wants to be the classic hero could do nothing about it, that HAS to mess you up. have P.T.S.D have him turn darker and more jaded, have him try to murder Oscar when he learns the truth like a normal person would

I loved this story. The teenager/best friend's mom trope is usually something one sees in bad made for TV movies or those adult novels divorced women read :P Still, you hit the personalities so incredibly well that I couldn't help but root for them a little bit. I know the reality of being in such a situation is different than the best possible ending in romantic fiction because such a relationship doesn't tend to last.

Anyway, thanks for sharing. It's absolutely not my thing normally, but you made me like it!

holy shit this was good

This story was honestly beyond beautiful. You've always had a way of making moments seem so real and genuine - from everything from Letters to Winter to Take a Walk on the Wild Side to My Abominable Monster Classmates Can't Be This Cute to even Red Like Roses? Gross! and more. I'm not afraid to say that I shed a few tears with that moment between Ruby and Jaune when she just woke up.

As it stands, the story is perfect as is. As much as certain other ideas would've been fun, personally I feel like they would've ruined what the story was. Would a more permanent JaunexSummer be great? Sure! A bit of comedy and/or drama with the sisters finding out Jaune banged their mom? I probably would've loved it. But, it wouldn't have been as good. I'm probably repeating myself here too much, but the story was beyond amazing as it was, and I feel like any of the other suggestions would've been nice on their own, but they would've detracted from the overall quality of the story.

Anyways, thank you so much for sticking to what you did and for sharing this amazing story. Oh, and a Lancaster-based sequel to this would be amazing. If it's anything like your other stories, especially like the longer ones, it would probably be pretty much everything I could ever hope for from a fanfiction.
