could you please have Connie comfort him, he needs her now more than ever, she never hurt him and had nothing to do with Rose, she just wants to be there for him, perhaps her family can offer him to stay with them for a while, have a normal family for once, something that would give him a break from magic and space, but more importantly, he needs his Connie

So far I love the story but it would be nice if you could space things out instead of having multiple dialogues and sentences in one large paragraph, it makes it hard sort of hard to read.
