This moron doesn't know what freedom is, what tolerance means. There is no right or wrong side, that's true. But there are assholes and decent human beings. This character is a badly written asshole, and not even the good kind.

Your thoughts on magic are really interesting, honest. Your research scenarios are too the point. But it's a story my friend, not a report. You are making it too limited. Seriously, although I have written some 'anti' reviews I do admit this is far better than 95% of HP fanfictions. But your mc must have a ddefinitive purpose, a not so vague goal. A direction and corners. Otherwise it's not interesting at all.

Oh now the mc is asking to spare him rightful justification, because he is not about justificationss at all. Some great advocate of freedom he is, standing against authority figures while reading others mind. Not hypocritical at all!

Oh and now we are bashing on Dumbledore too? How original!

A guy from our world who read the books and calls Harry Potter "brat"? Now I see why that didn't make sense. The mc is unrealistic.

I thought this OC would be interesting, but he is just another random asshole. Forget slytherin, this guy is a fucking psychopath. Greed and selfishness is actually a common trait of badly written OP characters. Human beings aren't that objective. They need friends and human interaction to stay sane. What's the fun reading about a dick who cares for nobody?

Damn that was an amazing chapter. The way you described things made it so immersive that I didn’t even notice the chapter finishing.

As chapter 1 doesn’t count as chapter 1 I’ll review this as the first chapter.

To start off, I love how you didn’t just assume things were one way or the other just based off of the books. And how you are showing show a person would really act in such situations or at least like a person.

Most fanfic skip over the small details and feeling, but in my opinion they are one of the most important elements in a story, they help you immerse your self in the world. More realistically imagine what is happening.

And I truly believe that the further along the 21st century progresses the harder it would be for magic to stay hidden, as people are mor inquisitive, and cameras cover almost everywhere. Well there are a lot of reasons but I won’t go into them now. But overall this is one of the best beginnings to a fanfic I have ever read. And for that I thanks you :)

I like the exploration of magic in your story, I really do, but this chapter and his rant on morality just feel a bit smug and self-congratulatory. I didn't really enjoy that. Sure, maybe his interpretation is correct, and I don't even think I necessarily disagree with him on many things, but the way all other opinions were just shown as blithering idiots that have never thought about the topic before... And then he calls a country "too spineless to fight back" after establishing it's perfectly justified to act only in your own interest...
I like this story, and I'm looking forward to more, but this chapter feels like interesting potential completely squandered.
