This chapter always makes me laugh. Piett is just so confused and terrified all at ince. My favorite line is the Naboo bananas.

LOL of COURSE that would be what wakes Vader up, and I certainly cannot blame Piett for both doing his best to 'coincidentally' avoid contact with the rest of the Empire even if Vader was dead, and definitely understand wanting a plushie with all the stress he is under! X-D

Hope you do the epilogue!

While all those fics where Vader turns on Palpatine, generally with the help of his children, are quite popular, and certainly ease things up for the aftermath with Vader alive to give orders to the Empire, I can actually see Vader aiming for a mutual kill more after reading this. Because living means having to live with the terrible things he has done, and having to try and find a way to redeem himself for countless war crimes, to say nothing of what he has done to his own children. Death, while making his children safe, would be the easy way out

A highly original and highly entertaining way for Vader to learn the truth! Lots of chuckles here, especially with the added twist of basically three ongoing conversations!

Delightful. Irreverent, totally not scared Luke with his call. Brooding Vader who’s actually plotting—good assassination! And then the faithful son arrives and wakes up his smart-mouth dad. Of course Piett sleeps with a plushie. Maybe he has a teeny tiny one that fits in his uniform pocket. Epilogue? Yes, please!

Yes! A new and creative death for Palpatine. I want to collect them or something. Also, did the not dangerous teddy bears reference anything? Because there is this really good fic called “Admiral Piett and the great Ewok adventure” by Monika Simon. It’s not on this site but you can google it. It’s more of an adventure/character study, but it totally changed how I thought about Ewoks!
