Your story is pretty good, unlike most Naruto fics which have him shitting out elemental jutsu's at chapter 3 and have him using strategies that wouldn't be out of place in a Jojo's or hunter x hunter fight. You're doing a good job portraying Naruto as he really is at the beginning of the show, an idiot who didn't pay any attention in the academy and is only semi-competent as a ninja. This story feels like Naruto once did, where it was about ninja's and not about god's and cyborgs and was just a rip-off of DBZ. There are some flaws with the story however. 1: Your plot progression is painfully slow. While this is understandably the "growth" period of the story, where we are introduced to your versions of the characters, and we see Naruto undergoing character development and becoming stronger. However, it's also been about 100,000 words and you have yet to introduce any plot points beside the very minor one that is the Kiri sub-plot. This isn't inherently a weakness as some stories are built like this, but it is something that needs to change, and soon. Otherwise this will simply be one of the 1,000,000 word monstrosities that spend more time on useless shit that basically no one wants. Please don't do that. 2: This one is very minor. In one of the earlier chapters, you have Naruto state that he can use the henge in order to get groceries from the villagers. Her hadn't learned it yet however. I think that this was just you accidently using henge instead of sexy jutsu.

Altogether, your story has many good points, it just feels a little slow and needs updating. Please update.

Can't wait for the next chapter, this is a nice change of a story, one where Naruto is underpowered rather than overpowered, and learns what it means to be a Shinobi.

Great story, I'm very interested in seeing how things will continue to play out especially with Naruto with so many trying to pull his strings. Especially as I would say Danzo has a definite step up and the Hokage is lagging behind even Mei who is a recent player in trying to manipulate Naruto in some way. Although wouldn't surprise me if Naruto still made a surprise run around them all yet.

Glad to see Naruto is making gradual progress and only after a lot of hard work as I hate stories where he makes huge progress easily and without next to no effort.

No he probably made a valid point. Naruto undertook wind release training in a couple of days. it was stated to take YEARS. So yes, with clone training he COULD get god like in a month. If you dont like that then dont use that training method. Because the only justu Naruto was states to have trouble with was the Bushin. No he doesn't USE the other two but no where os it said he can't do them. Not only that, but Naruto is fairly talented at learning Ninjustu anyway. He learned the Shadow Clone and Multo Shadow Clonw Justu in a couple of HOURS. Can you not comprehend how impressive that is? Jiraya said it took him months to be able to perform the Resengan. It took Naruto a month! So yes Naruto is indeed much more inclined than you seem to think. If he were to use the Shadow Clones how you are then yes he would become strong fairly fast. We dont want a 'god 'Naruto, how about a competent one? How about one with at LEAST genin skills, sense you want to continue making all of his skills academy level except a few.

Yeah I'm getting kind of sick, of almost ZERO improvement with Naruto, and all the bashing.

Honestly this has genuinely been really interesting to read. The development is slow, yes, but I really enjoy how fleshed out the training and his mental development is going. I find that quick development always detracts from a story so i’m really enjoying this. Keep it please!

Just found this story and couldn't stop reading! I actually enjoy the fact that Naruto hasn't suddenly become a demigod. I can't wait to see how Hinata progresses as well in her training! And when the two will have their first rival spar! I hope they kick each others asses!
