Great to see this updated; I'm assuming that Nox leaving for Valyria will give certain things a chance to play out (Ramsey killing Domeric, Jon Arryns death, Sansas' betrothal) while setting things up for even more major challenges. I'm also presuming that given Noxs' knowledge of genetics he won't be a Jon/Danaerys shipper.

Would Shireen be force sensitive? I feel she might be.

I still think you should read up about sailing ships, as the dimensions of the Sea Wolf are rather bad. 100m long and almost 30m wide would make it about as sea worthy as a bath-tub. For comparison, look at the salvaged warship "Vasa" from Sweden. It sank in 1628, and it had a sparred length of 69 m (226 ft), with 47.5 m (155.8 ft) between perpendiculars. It had a beam of only 11.7 m (38 ft). Trading ships might be a bit wider, sacrificing speed and manouverability for cargo space, but no ship I have read about were that wide compared to the length.

The length of the ship is also a problem. Very few wooden ships ever reached 100 meter in length, and most of those were reinforced with iron or steel, and many still failed due to instability. Such a long wooden ship will simply flex too much in any kind of heavy sea, springing open planking and warping timbers.

Would have been better with a female Darth Nox. Would have provided a different and (slightly) harder challenge. After all a powerful Sith will NEVER be challenged physically in ASoIaF, but while the title of Lord and being male will automatically be received with far more respect and agreement a female Nox would be greeted worse, offering one of the few avenues of actual opposition to a Sith Lord in Westeros.

It also would have been far more interesting, at this point male MC's, and especially male force user MC's, are very very boring.

Chapter 7 is nice, but there are a few issues.

First, when talking about the blacksmiths, and how they are making springs for suspension and for mattresses it seems a bit unrealistic. Such springs require good and consistent steel, or the spring will fail. This is mostly an issue under heavier loads, such as for carriages. A more realistic (and historically accurate) idea would be to use leaf springs. These are usually more forgiving and easier to make with simpler tools.

Regarding the glass making, you stated that some of the craftsmen experimented and figured out glass blowing. This also seems strange, as pretty much all glass was made by glass blowing. To make panes of glass you could blow glass into a cylindrical balloon, and then split it open lengthwise while it's hot. When it's flattened out, you will have a fairly large pane of glass.

My final critique is about the merchant ships. You said that the ships that were sent to Essos carried back 2000 lbs of raw iron ore, while each of the ships that returned from Dorne carried 1000 lbs of sand. These are absurd amounts! The simple trading ships of the Norse (called Knarr) were only around 16m/54ft and could carry 24 tons. The 10th-14th century merchant ships (called Cogs) could carry up to 200 tons. Furthermore, people would rarely ship raw iron ore over long distances, as most ores have less than 50% iron. They would smelt it into pig iron for trading and further processing.

I love how you actually used Ned never referring to Jon as his son as a thing in this story. That was a subtle thing that most people overlooked, both characters in the story and readers. It makes me wonder if upon first introducing Jon as a baby if he even referred to Jon as his son or if he went with "he is my blood" and "he has Stark blood" and just had people make assumptions without ever correcting them.

Another evil? To the east? I'm excited to see what it is! I admit I'm a bit scared for those who are going, especially if your intention is to kill them off. Small Jon may not be the most exciting of characters, but Dacey is a fan favorite and both have a lot of potential as characters.
Given how you're writing her, my guess is Catelyn is purely from the books. That is an undertaking my friend. She is complicated.
Excellent chapter. A few grammar and spelling mistakes here and there, but the story is flowing well. I'm excited to see what happens next, maybe Gerion will save their butts wielding Brightroar and they'll bring him back with them. That'll certainly win over Tywin. Till the next one!

i like this, a good "strong north" story is always good to read. also like that the starks are getting the so many stories the MC of the fic becomes the MC of the story when that shouldnt be the case so good job

also canin wise, who is nox? is he a main character or a one off one? the only thing i have found is a bad wiki that was less than helpful.

Great to see an update. I'm not usually a fan of expeditions to Valyria but I'm curious to see what Nox might find. The Sea Wolf is nice. I think only the Summer Islanders use Galleons, Swan Ships they call them. While it will be useful for the expedition my favorite vessel is the Baltimore Clipper.

I'm really liking Nox and Nyra's relationship. I hope their reunion is a steamy as their parting.

As for Catelyn I'm not a fan of her either but I just couldn't see her running to Baelish like that she was content to ignore him for years.

It’s an idea but you could have Jon finding either a couple of kyber crystals or some dragon eggs in valyria... a valyrian sword would also be a god thing
