You see THIS is the exact type of fanfic I wanted to read so bad for this fandom. If you have anymore Lizzy/Pete and Ellie ideas please please please share them I promise I will read them all. I really love this movie and specifically the dynamic between the Wagners and Lizzy and this fanfic warmed my heart. It was so well written by the way so kudos for structure and flow as well! And thanks for sharing this lovely fic. This fandom is small but we see and appreciate each other.

Thank you for writing this. It's so nice to see other people writing about what you rightly called a gem of a movie. I wish there were more fanfics on this movie. As you know I had to start writing my own! I think what you do here is so interesting. As a native Spanish speaker I'm very surprised at Ellie's level of Spanish and how much she's managed to learn haha. I think it's great you've included Spanish in your fanfic though. I believe it's important to keep authenticity. I've never considered Lizzy using it to call Ellie mom mostly because it's never done in the movie, so this was refreshing. I thought it was very sweet.
