This is great, very hillarious. Stories that involves MCs not getting involve in the plot isclose to my heart. Then you add adash of such Character. Oberall Brilliant. Keep up the great work, Fave'd and Followed.

This is a fantastic story.

This story is pretty good and actually made me laugh. It’s a breather from the dark and edgy ones where the kids act too close to adults. The story feels more realistic as they are written like their age aside the main. Hope to see more chapters in the future!

movement, speech and intent are key for spellcasting.
strange i would think they are visualisation intent power and the creativity to put it to use, and given your own views on things wand movement to guide the magic and the truly advanced casting needs verbal input as a means to imprint your intent on reality.

the way you are stating it each and every action has its own spell and magic listens to a basterdized version of latin. remember dumbledore conjuring all those sleeping bags during 3th year? yea he spend the whole evening creating the right spell for that...

my favorite part about self inserts is that they are not bound by fiction logic and thus are free to explore magic or what have you in a sceptical unbiased way.
none of this is seen in your story which is pretty dissapointing and im guessing the story will focus on drama of 11 year olds. yea that should be 'fun'

its a childrens tale so it'll probably be fine.

i dunno what stories you've read but the ones i know i just as brutal, some even more so because they lack any logic, these stories for children just dont show it.

snow white evil witch and eternal sleep
rapunsel slavery in a tower

it goes on and on

I swear Percy being absolutely done with the fact that he can only use Eldritch blast hit me right in the feels. I played Warlock for a whole campaign and everytime it was my turn the dm didn't even have to ask me what I was going to do. it was always yeah this variant of Eldritch blast... just let me roll and the next person can do something inventive for once XD
