Reviews for Avengers: Methteilien
Jetty1 chapter 8 . 7/17
Ian Holm was also good as Priest Vito Cornelius in The Fifth Element. He will be missed. Though I must ask, when did he play Frodo?

I like the inclusion of Hulk's Gamma Aura, it shows his increase in power without it getting too outrageous and it's definitely a nice ability for him to have. I always wondered why it never became a staple in Hulk comics; maybe it's too difficult to draw? Either way, I look forward to seeing it in the Avengers video game and seeing how it aids our heroes in this story.

I think it's fitting that Morgoth took over Surtur's realm. I forget tho, did he die in Ragnarok with Hela or is he just lurking out there somewhere? I also thought if the movies wanted to use Thanos' desire to court Death, Hela woulda been a perfect interpretation. He'd have saved her from Surtur and would try to court her.

Stay safe, dude and may this COVID-19 epidemic blow over ASAP.
Schazmen chapter 8 . 7/16
That was powerful. That's honestly the only way I can describe it. The battles were fierce and I could well imagine what was going on. And it's awesome how you keep bringing these short notes in MCU to the spotlight, like Muspelheim.

As for Thor, when Raccoon said he was asleep, my first immediate thought was to laugh. Before I could even get that first 'ha' out, though, I stopped, thought for a second, and replaced it with an "Aaaaahhsssshit." Needless to say, that was a brilliant choice!
Guest chapter 8 . 7/15
I love how you used Kraglin. I hate how Morgoth has the upper hand here, but I'm curious if there is a hobbit-type hero that will sneak in and trick him. Can't wait til next time.
Steve993 chapter 8 . 7/15
Another well done chapter. First things first though glad to hear things are okay on your end and I wish you and your country well and hope things won't become too much of a problem. If we can all plan ahead of time we just might be able to beat it for now at least. We here in Ireland are managing well but again still making sure we're vigilant.

Anyway this chapter was worth the wait. Lots of action and all of it satisfying and the heroes were tested in big ways. Should of figured Morgoth had a trap and despite they didn't take him down or save Wanda they did at least destroy the ship. But now that's led to him taking over Muspelheim. Again another thing I didn't see coming but it makes sense. The world was sadly underutilised in Ragnarok as were the Nine Realms in general. Anybody wondering what the Frost Giants are doing? Loki killed his dad their king years ago surely that place had a civil war of it's own?

Seeing Thor and Carol team up again was well handled along with Rocket, the Dwarves and Kraglin and everyone helping fight back making a team effort all around. Liked Carol's moment with At-Lass. You're doing a good job building up her forming a genuine connection with everyone something again the movie didn't do and I get their point but a story like this allows for that kind of time.

Having Gimli and Legolas come together for their father's was a great moment as was seeing Eitri suit up to fight. Also a random thing to add but Gimli and Thor are not only good friends in these stories which makes sense but perhaps another reason they share a connection is that both have been played by John Rhys-Davies? John voiced Thor in animation in the 90s.

Hope Thor doesn't spend too long in the Odinsleep or Thorsleep I guess it should be called. But when he awakens I imagine it'll be for something major he won't be happy about. Again you're doing a great job highlighting the toll this situation has taken internally and externally and showing him dedicated to his people's safety. This is how it should be and not the light approach they took with it in the film.

While World Breaker Hulk would probably end this story very quick having him still grow in power and be the Hulk is satisfying enough. Again you're doing a good job at showing Banner and Hulk actually working together. Both talk and both use their strengths rather than just have Banner with Hulk's body. Something tells me that in the film Banner didn't tell the whole story and somewhere the real Hulk is in hiding and that could be a problem in the future. Maybe World Breaker Hulk could come from that maybe Maestro Hulk who knows but that's not your version which again is being well handled from years of story build up with his friendship with Pippin holding strong.

Morgoth and Thanos are both proving to be effective villains. Morgoth may love torturing Wanda now but he'll rue the day he crossed her when it's all over. I don't know where you'll go after this story but you are sowing seeds for a MTCU version of WandaVision and Multiverse of Madness well and I would love to see how you'd tackle them down the line but it all depends on where this goes first I suppose (and what will go down in the MCU versions of those stories) and obviously with every chapter I'm anticipating where it will go. I also imagine what Thanos has planned for Elanor won't be good.

Reading the story like always so far has been a great time. I'm seeing it all play out in my head with the people performing it and the action on display. Some new characters though I'm still wondering how they would look and who would play them. How would they play for you? Who would you see voicing and mo-capping Morgoth for example?

Anyway I think that's it for now but knowing me I've forgotten some stuff. Looking forward to the next chapter.
Omegashark18 chapter 8 . 7/15
With the way things are right now, I’ve become fearful for a lot of my favorite authors, you are one of three I have become concerned for in recent weeks. Cause the last I want is for your unique talent to be lost and this epic saga unfinished forever so close to the finish line. So yeah, understandable reason to be anxious!

Anywho, our first major battle of the story, and surely was an intense one. If this is how things are going to be throughout it’s certainly going to be a roller coaster.

If the price we have to pay is longer waits, then so be it. Keep up the good work, and do stay safe out there.
Aragorn II Elessar chapter 8 . 7/15
Oh this was an amazing chapter, as always.

R.I.P. Ian Holm, you will be missed.

Yes, I agree that in spite of being all-powerful, the Infinity Stones are only as powerful as the user's intentions, and his durability.

Aura punch works for Hulk. Reason why I made him World-Breaker in my series is because more powerful foes are popping left and right nowadays.

Thor's and Carol's interactions were enjoyable.

And the fight scenes were amazingly written, as always.

Yes, Morgoth will exploit Carol's relationship with Att-Lass for sure.

Pippin's 'unscientific' explanation for Hulk's gamma was touching.

I know Morgoth was an illusion but still enjoyed his fight with Thor, and he's in Odinsleep (or would it be Thorsleep now) now? Whoa! Didn't expect that. Wondering what comes of it.

Morgoth's and Thanos' conversation in the beginning was enjoyable too. No honor among thieves.

And well, poor Wanda and poor Elanor.

Yes, Morgoth and Muspelheim go perfectly.

Eagerly awaiting the next chapter, which I know is going to be amazing.
Omegashark18 chapter 1 . 7/13
Anyone else growing a little nervous that it’s been longer then usual since the last update?
Mr Popo chapter 7 . 6/28
I can not praise this storyline enough from avengers of the ring up until now you have balanced out each character with great development. You don’t heavily favor one series for the other and you do an awesome job at it.
Madmagusmax chapter 7 . 6/26
After reading the previous installments of this story I have to admit that it is purely awesome. You should write for Marvel comics. Also you have captured the spirit of The Lord of the Rings. Tolkien would be proud.

Now can I make a few suggestions? If I were you I would take a look some of the Lord of the Rings video games and use them for some inspiration. Maybe for new powers and weapons for the cast?

I personally recommend Lord of The Rings: War in The North, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, and Middle Earth: Shadow of War.

Oh and buy the way, do you take requests for stories? Because I have one that you may like. Now it is big, so I will have to send it after submitting this review.
Jurassic Avenger chapter 7 . 6/26
How did the Collector manage to get his hands on a map of the Lonely Mountain?
Anonymous chapter 7 . 6/22
After the events of Return of the Avengers; did Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye (& Sif) ever get Marble Statues made of them (Similar to how Captain America, Thor & Hulk got Marble Statues made of them after the events of Avengers of the Ring)?
Ian N chapter 7 . 6/22
I'm a bit confused about Red Skull still being on Vormir? I was under the impression that after Thanos sacrificed Gamora & obtained the Soul Stone, Schmidt was free of his curse & allowed to leave Vormir (to possibly make future appearances in the MCU)? Same thing goes for when Natasha sacrificed herself in Endgame? Have any of our speculations (either your's or mine) ever been confirmed to be official in the MCU yet?
Deus Swiftblade chapter 7 . 6/14
Just out of curiosity, are you going to bring in any characters from the Silmarillion? Now seems like as a good a time as any. Hell, I'm a little surprised you hadn't brought in at least Maglor before now.
Schazmen chapter 7 . 6/2
Pleasant, short, but nothing that seemed like padding or pointless.
I absolutely adore how Schmidt and Rogers could get true closure, too.
Omegashark18 chapter 7 . 5/31
I guess it was only fair this took much longer after you gave us one early.

You definitely drew from the comics quite a bit. How much it goes against canon(regarding the Celestials) remains to be seen. I had to look up the storyline you mentioned in order to figure out which comic it was from.

So you gave us the meeting we never got in the movies after we all saw Infinity War. And you even humbled the Red Skull, someone with a soul as black as tar.

So much unpredictability here, it’s almost got me nervous.
