It's wonderful to see more SBT fics! Lance is adorable here, and there's a certain weight to this event considering how proficient he'll be with the Manus armor in the future. His skills with it are why he's in the royal guard and goes to earth to protect Ilana in the first place. I liked how you built up his mother as well; not so much as a mention of her in the show, so she must have died when Lance was young, sadly. They seem to be a very intelligent family, and even when the armor blows up, there's a certain satisfaction to their progress. Thanks for writing this!
