Do his skills grow at a faster pace as he's learning from a competent teacher? I.e. will alchemy grow faster as he learns from the Maester, Melee as he learns from the master of arms, etc? I liked it before the rewrite, I like it now, so thanks.

I read your previous version's first chapter and i wasn't interested at all, in fact the first chapter killed my interest quickly.
This one however has my attention and i am curious about Jon's adventure.
