Besides the fact that Kazuto is being pushed into being a hero, which he has way easier than Shoto by the way, he also has trauma from when his parents died. This lead to him realizing but not processing that heroes can't save anyone.

Aw this first chapter was super depressing

-Great start, completely got name entranced into the story, and you did well on the pacing too. I love that you made him believe that his aunt was his mom, I think that was upper level thinking there, usually most authors that make their characters have amnesia, someone will claim that character instead of the character making an assumption.

Character interactions and dialogue are very well done and the feels... oh boy those feels are real.

I like the small ways you are changing things on the SAO side. Ignoring anything MHA related it looks like gramps is still alive and it's unclear if Kazuto has either not discovered or just not shared the fact that he isn't Midori's son.
