Is not only Rey, but there is the 8th angel who was also had a thing for Shinji. Canon Shinji had no friends and he considered that angel a friend, I wonder how it would be now, losing him because he was an angel, betraying him broke shinji. this Shinji Idk how will Respond to that. Also Asuka, I don’t see her that interested in Shinji, in canon she was interested in the spy and in some way you get that he played with her too much, helping in broking her. At least here he is not in getting in little girls pants.

Awww, Hikari being impaired by Shinji is really cute. It’s always kind of weird how the pilots classmates don’t really care that they are pilots. I know that’s not what Eva was about, but still, they only seem to care the first time they find out, and never mention it ever again.

Sorry for only reviewing one of the chapters in advance...I'll try to evenly distribute between them...

So this was neat! I noticed a lot more divergences this time. It was especially interesting seeing how Rei acts on and off her route. It even influenced what she asks when Shinji wasn't around. And it looks like Shinji's ability will differ on both routes as well. Nice detail there!

I think it is not so so natural the way Shinji is letting Rey alone is also very dangerous thing to do. She could try to kill Hikari or Asuka in retaliation.

Yanderei? Well the differences are becoming more overt. Still both chapters are great.

One small criticism though. And maybe this is just on me for thinking of this too much like a visual novel, but it looks like the only major change between the two routes (so far) was whether Hikari worked up the courage to kiss Shinji's cheek or not. So it feels a bit random instead of branching paths from a decision that was made by Shinji (granted, Hikari made a decision, but she's not the focal point). Then again, some stories can be like that, so I'll just chill and enjoy.

About the split in routes:
Why it’s must be rei out and Hikari in with asuka? Hikari have better camaraderie with Rei...

Also Yui Ikari was his mother that is creepy, there is reason Shinji didn’t accept that in canon. You make this one choice only.
