I guess I should have read your note to chapter 8, because you were planning all along to give us Penny’s background in chapter 9. Again, Penny’s background really helps in understanding this story because it seems that her life took a serious change in her late teens when she went to live in Texas. My impressions of her now is that she is a little more tomboyish in this story and less of a party girl than presented in the show. I also expect, because of her love of horses, she is a little bit of a cowgirl now and she shares a lot of the traits that Missy has because they are best friends. She does seem though to still like acting so she still probably have that desire to go to California and give it a try. I’m really curious how she will hook up with the gang so far away and since her link would have to be Missy, if she too will become part of the group. I always wanted Missy and Raj too hook up.

Nice background on Missy, I think it really helps an AU story when the author gives you character background early in the story and you covering all the characters like you are really enhances the story. Missy actually sounds like a very caring twin to Sheldon and her excitement over Sheldon and Amy’s encounter is sort of adorable. Also, we now are certain that Penny is Missy’s best friend so it makes me now wonder about Penny’s background story.

Penny’s teenage years are different than in the show and it looks like she never met Kurt to run off to California with, but she does seem to want to go there still. She also appears not to be as much the Wild party girl growing up as she was in the show, of course moving between you junior and senior year of high school can put a damper on you social life with a complete change in your peer group. I was a surprise though that Penny’s family has a past connection with the Coopers and it makes it easy to see why her and Missy would become friends so quickly because as the new girl in town Penny would be very eager to meet new friends. I would also expect that if they are best friends Penny could very easily accompany Missy on one of her visits to her bother’s college sometime in the future, too.

Great chapter! I love your eye for detail. There are so many small things about Penny that got mentioned once in the show and you seem to have thought of everything! I like everyone's backstory...

wow that was a long chapter! I love Penny's backstory tbh, especially her outgoing personality. And Mary knowing her parents? that's a surprise and definitely intriguing. I can't wait to see her interactions with the Coopers, especially with Missy and ofc Sheldon lol, I imagine their arguments and probably hating each other at the beginning hahaha...unless they would end up liking each other. thanks for the update!

Missy's backstory is interesting. I'm glad you decided to tie in the canon from young sheldon. the conversation between her and Mary was hilarious, i can totally imagine young Missy blabbing and chatting away with that much energy. and awww Shelly's all embarrassed, i can only imagine what goes on in his head lol. I'm looking forward to Penny's chapter! thanks for the update, love it!

That was some introduction of Howard to Sheldon, I can’t wait to read about what happens in class when Howard the student sees Sheldon the instructor and Sheldon sees Howard. However, Howard, Raj and Leonard seemed to already have bonded and I expect Howard will want to hang around them a lot when he sees the hot girls they have living next door to them. I’m hoping you are going to keep Missy in this story because I would like to see Raj have a girlfriend too and him and Missy seem like a match.

Well now we have Howard and he seems to already have befriended Raj and Leonard, and has already gotten on the bad side of Sheldon. Howard is really going to be surprised when he meets the instructor for that class he is so excited about, and with Sheldon’s memory he is probably not going to be happy to see Howard in his class, so I expect them to be at each other’s throats in the beginning. The only one missing is Penny now and since she is not in school, I curious how she will be brought into the group.

love the small interaction between Howard and Sheldon hahaha i can imagine how Howard's first lecture with him will go. The guys' friendship are also starting to develop! and Sheldon, dear lord you sweet innocent babboo, very smitten already with Amy! And he immediately searched for her! i look forward to more verbal sparring lol and Howardette meet! I also can't wait for Penny's introduction. again, thanks for the update!
