Whew... this... started off really great. I liked it. And... it... slowly devolved.

I think the issue is that you rushed it so much. Compressed everything down bit by bit. It's like... you built the framework for a house but only put random things inside. A roof but nothing on the walls like bricks/planks/drywall/etc, a single sink in what should be the mudroom but nowhere else, a single toilet in the attic but no stairs to reach the attic, a shower in the basement but the basement is flooded with sewage, a single bed out on the back yard that's constantly being rained and snowed on, the staircase is missing two to three steps in between every step that is there so you have to kind of lean on the railing to pull yourself up to the next step, and a couple of house elves to keep everything that happens to be there looking somewhat clean.

I think this story has great potential. But... that's... about all it has. Potential. Lots and lots of potential. Like coal being slowly heated and compressed in a volcano. Who knows, it might become a diamond. It might not, but it could.

It just needs work. Polishing. Maybe a beta reader to help flesh things out?

Speaking of Beta readers. For the love of god, merlin, buddha, and a bunch of other important people who may or may not exist and probably don't want their names used as swears we get it. Harry is not a beta male. We understand. That's enough. Thank you for emphasizing that point so thoroughly. We didn't really need to know, and we don't actually care that he isn't a beta male. But... we get it. He's not a beta male.
