After reading it once again I noticed a peculiar little thing. Your grammar, spelling, correct-word-usage (your/you're, Shepards/Shepard's etc) and story-telling has improved drastically! It feels like you really take criticism to heart since I saw a few flaws, reviewers pointed out, start to get better in the following chapters.

It's a really fascinating and, in my opinion, wholesome thing to see your dedication to this story and as an author pay off.

I think both ideas are good, it's your decision. Both options are good,but i think most of the people want to see Tali so I'm kinda eager to just do a pre chapter and Heastrom to meet Tali. Also Horizon is a big mission so you can make a separate chapter for that mission.

if you want to jump to the halestorm mission, I think that having small bits of the other mission like maybe for Jack the after mission talk. but really just go for what you want to do. Bring on the romance!

I've played the Mass Effect trilogy a few times, and I have to say, Tali is by far my favorite choice as far as romance options go. As far as the scene where Garrus calls his dad, that's not in the games, as you've pointed out, but I like that you've added it in, since the game doesn't really go into detail of what transpired before Shepard got to him. Well done, and keep up the good work.
