Reviews for Judgment Day
MF 22 chapter 29 . 5/5/2018
YES! That reckoning was a long time coming. Too bad Wolverine has that damn adamantium skeleton, and wasn't present. He's arguably the one who deserved it even more than Kurt, as his derisive comments and looks were much more blatant and in your face. As a kid, Wolverine used to be a favorite character. But after I grew up and learned to recognize the sheer hypocrisy of Wolverine, I have grown to detest him. Especially when it comes to Cyclops and Jean, and how certain parties have always tried to fuck Cyke over royally. That even extends to fan fiction, both here, AO3, what have you. So naturally, a part of me was a bit disappointed that it wasn't Wolverine on the receiving end of that tirade and hit, even if said hit would've likely shattered Alvin's hand, given that damn skeleton. But Jaimie is right there, and he's been acting a lot like Wolverine.

On the flip side, it can be argued that Kurt, who's supposedly a God worshipping man, and who had long faced prejudice for his appearance, was the worst offender, because his prejudice was much more subtle. Like what can some baseline like Alvin know? He's not one of us, after all. That sort of attitude is the most dangerous, because it starts the slippery slope that can end up in genocide.

That aside, I loved Alvin finally standing up for himself. I get the truly pious can be perceived as weak, even if their convictions are stronger than most. But for Alvin to finally tell the Mutant group off for their mistreatment of him was what I really wanted to see. It was a long time coming, and maybe they'll finally start to treat him with some respect. Even if the mongrel wasn't there to witness that glorious moment.

On another note, I really love this fic. I realize it was completed years ago, but I only stumbled on it a couple of days ago. It isn't like Saw, where you have violence simply for shock value, or because you can. It feels *real,* like this is what would likely happen in a post-apocalyptic world. The factions, the devolution into savage beasts, the sideways glances...it all feels real. Great job on that.
CatsbytheGreat chapter 39 . 10/20/2014
Amazingly detailed story! Kept me rapt with attention!
Minako25 chapter 13 . 4/30/2013
This tale is fabulously well rounded. Wish it hadn't taken me ten years to find it. On to the next chapter now... Jigggety jig.

interesting
SilverWolfAnimagus17 chapter 40 . 9/3/2011
Okay, this was, like, one of the best X-Men Evolution fics that I have ever read. I spent the last 3 days reading this story when ever I got the chance. My eyes were, like, glued to my computer screen. I loved how you added Spider-Man into this. I have to admit, when you first introduced him, I was hesitant but he turned out to be a great part in this. And I absolutely adore all of the OCs in this. I usually don't like OCs but I loved them all. You did an excellent job portraying all of the characters and the plot was amazing. I loved how you made Wolfsbane all evil and crazy too! Anyway, awesome job and everything.

BurnishTomatoes chapter 22 . 2/20/2010
Ugh...I wanna keep going but it's really late...er...early, I have to get up in a few hours, the computer shoulder that formed at chapter fourteen has now turned into a numb arm, but I needed to leave a review now incase somehow when I wake up tomorrow the rest of this story is mind bogglingly awful or something (that may sound improbable but it happened once!). Anyways, I give you kudos for the fact this is probably the only fanfiction I've read, and i've read alot, that could still be fan-flippin-tastic with so many original characters, to be honest I considered hitting that handy backspace key when Robyn was introduced. This is the only story I've ever read that wasn't a parody that could handle a catgirl. I'm quite the fan of post-apocalyptic dystopia stories, so I've read my fair share of 'em, and I'd like to say that this one merit a gold star sticker for creativity. See, usually the setting would be the world having been kind of overgrown with plants, some are set up with towns like yours but there aren't people and they don't trade and they don't start crazy cults for godesses and magnetic old men, like the real human race would. Your dystopia seems to look like one of those zombie dystopias, only intead of humans hunting zombies (and sometimes magical-whatevers), people hunt mutants, and mutants obviously are better than zombies and provide a much more interesting psycholgoical aspect than yucky creatures who try and eat your brains (I could either be talking about zombies or the pig brothers, I'll never tell). Anyways, I feel you've perfectly articulated how the characters would reacte to this situation and who they would become. I'm also quite fond of the characters outside evo universe but within the marvel universe you've chosen so far to throw into your Judgement Day stew. Cap'n Britain I am highly proud of you for adding, happy with Spidey because I get a warm fuzzy feeling inside about Mags not knowing he's a homo sapien, as for Sinister, I knew it, I knew he would simply have to worm his way into it, Nathaniel Essex just...he does, any mega-plot world type stories with fudgeing pancake flipping prophecies in any x-men universe, will have Nathaniel Essex! They will, nuff said, don't let my horrible influence rubb off on you, never use exclamation marks, using them is like becomming that substitute teacher in the first grade who laughed at his own jokes really loudly and accidentally spit on the kids in the front row of desks. I had more to type in my wonderfully humorless format about what I think of your masterpiece, good sir/ma'am, but I'm too lazy for minimul...wait...that's not how to spell, geezus, I've forgotten how to spell minmul, erm...whatever, I 'm too lazy to put x amount of effort into writing a review so tomorrow another chapter will get an exceedingly long review with more exceedingly long run-ion sentences, er, wait, later today, technically. Right, off to dreaming about sugar plums belly dancing.

Nighty-night ~Meg
Beastdog chapter 40 . 2/16/2010
Holy crap, I just sat down and read this story like a marathon, and my god, you made me laugh, you made me cry, I loved this. This has to be one of the best x-men: evo stories I have ever read. Your characterization was spot on, I thought. Better maybe, then the cartoon itself. Such a great story. I even loved your OCs, and that's a hard feat.

So thank you, and keep up the good work.
EasyButton chapter 40 . 12/6/2009
Oh. Oh my goodness. This is beyind words fantastic. It's like the Stand, but with mutants.

Which is a very good thing. A very good thing indeed.
4k101 chapter 15 . 6/14/2009
wow!
wolfriend chapter 40 . 5/12/2009
Wow. This is really a great piece of work. You did an amazing job creating an entirely new universe completely with all the details and quirks necessary, which is really hard to do. A fully realized creation. Job well done. I invested an entire weekend in this, and I consider it time well spent. Few fics of this length can keep me enraptured like yours did. That in itself makes it deserve an award.

Thank you for this.

P.S. loved the George of the Jungle reference before the first epilogue.
RomyGirl123 chapter 40 . 1/4/2009
I condem you for this spectacular story. A very un-original plot, death, babies and love.

You wrote a story that had little laughter but lots of emotion. It made me want to cry and scream but also want to cherish life.

THank you for writing this amazing story. I hope the read more from you soon.
hA-UkA chapter 40 . 9/7/2008
I never expected to find something this good on the Xmen:Evolution section. I really enjoyed this fic, it had quite a nice perspective and storyline.
Winter Bean chapter 40 . 7/17/2007

Winter Bean chapter 36 . 7/17/2007
