I read this fiction many times and I never reviewed it... my shame! I really think I ought you this review.
Well, I love the idea of Luke and Anakin working together as Jedi team, although I find a little unbelievable of all that hugging, "love you", and so on (really, I can't think any father and grown son in good relationship I know who are like that). I would find you fiction really flawless, if Luke and Anakin were more restrained in their feeling expressions (but I also understand this things can change a lot worldwide from a culture to the other, so maybe it's just a cultural difference between us).
That said, this was really the only problem I see in this fiction, because everything else is just wonderful! I do really love your in-depth analysis of Luke's feelings. As some other reviewers have yet pointed out, it's just realistic that Luke can't forget immediately all the trauma his father has put him through during the OT. I love that you described Luke just as forgiving as he's in the movies, but also a normal human being, who need to overcome slowly everything happened to him (and not like some sort of PC, that resetted all his feelings, when Palpatine died).
Plus, you described in a very realistic way how Luke starts happy and cheerful and slowly begins to remember, not for anything in particular, but for accumulation of little occurences. I guess that was quite difficult to plan and balance well, but it works great, because it's realistic: it's just how usually family problems come out! And you were able to interlace all this into a plot with action and many flights around the GFFA. Although if the story is clearly built around Luke's bad memories of his father, the character don't just sit in their sitting-room, chatting about their problems, but they moved into action to pursue their goal as Jedi.
So, I really admired how well you planned this fiction and I find some scene really moving. Great work!

It's great story
Jambee chapter 15 . 3/4/2014
This was such a powerful and touching scene of Anakin and Luke on the catwalk in besbin. The part where Luke just broke down and starting crying
was especially heart - wrenching. note to self: 46,648. Takes place after ROJ. Lots of Father, son bonding.

Well, I'm pleased to announce that I liked this story so much, I was willing to log in just to review it!

Seriously, though, this was a wonderful story. I love the relationship you've built between everyone, really. Too many stories of Anakin's redemption end before very much happens beyond that. I love that you've continued beyond what we normally see.

I also think that too many people gloss over Luke's feelings. Yes, of course he would forgive Anakin, and of course he would love to have his father back, but that doesn't erase everything that happened, so I'm wildly pleased with the route you took. I'm all for father/son mush.

I'm now off to check your profile out for more stories, and I'm sure they'll all be as well written and realistic as this gem. Excellently done!

Thanks so much for posting,

Star

Really one of the best stories I've read - excellent writing, plotting and characterization. Hope you'll have more for us after the movie comes out this May. :)

What a perfect ending...so great and sweet...
kayladie chapter 17 . 9/13/2003
What a perfect ending-Han and Leia's wedding. I loved the speech that Leia gave Anakin, especially the bit about how he filled an empty place in her heart. Very sweet.

I can't wait for the next part-sounds very ecxiting! Are you going to be including Mara Jade? I would love to see how you write L/M. I would also love to see your very over-protective Anakin deal with his son falling for an assassin that he undoubtedly remembers not too fondly!

Start posting this sequel soon and thanks so much for a beautiful story.

At last, they found what they were searching for! I'm so glad. And they discovered a few things about themselves along the way. All in all, this has been a fascinating journey. I'm happy you took us all along for the ride. :)
Jade the Sith chapter 15 . 9/4/2003

kayladie chapter 15 . 9/4/2003
That was SO beautifully done. I got a little choked up myself as I read it. Poor Luke! Trying to deal with that all by himself. I'm so glad that Anakin showed up when he did. And I loved Luke's comments about how he could feed and dress himself now! You knew we needed a little laugh right there after that big emotional upheaval, didn't you? GREAT STORY! Can't wait for more.
Lady Evenstar of Imladris chapter 14 . 8/30/2003
Wow! I just started reading this story and it's fabulous! I really love the way you portray Luke needing to deal with these memories and yet not wanting to add to his father's burden. I can't wait for another update!
