Kayden Eidyak chapter 1 . 1/2/2004
Wait! No! That can't be the end! Nononono! I want more, I must have more! I want to know more! Don't you see the potential for a wonderful story here? Uh, who was that guy anyway?
UnDeadGoat chapter 1 . 11/5/2003
Did you make the hobbits up?
Vous Savez chapter 1 . 9/6/2003
Beautiful vignette, very well-written. I enjoyed reading it a lot, thanks for writing it. Why not start a Pirates of the Caribbean fic? I would be the first to read it ;-D
eiluj chapter 1 . 8/3/2003
A lovely little gem of a story. So clearly described that I can see the scene before me (something I'm not normally good at). The end is nicely frustrating, leaving the reader wanting more.

I like the constant references to the sleeping trees. The "wee little fire" (*quite* small if notably so by hobbit standards).

The hobbits are perfect. Wondering at the so-foreign, so-unhobbitlike world beyond their borders. Falco's loving contemplation of his lunch. Bert, who must surely be one of the newer Bounders hired to deal with the increasingly-troubled times - kind-hearted, yet without a doubt able to be as strong as he needs to be when it comes time to protect the Shire.
estelcontar chapter 1 . 7/30/2003
That was a very sweet and touching story. Thank you very much for writing it!

shirebound chapter 1 . 7/29/2003
What a marvelous vignette! You pulled me immediately into this scene, and I could see every bit of it. I'm only sorry it was over so quickly! But I suppose Rangers come and go like the wind...

Loved it!
