I do not think that it would be pleasant for the Patrician to know that I find this kind of entertainment to be akin to pranks. You know, this kind of useless, pointless, humiliating, and at times hurtful entertainment primarily conducted by children (or young adults) who do not have better things to do?
Granted, work conditions in the Palace are probably much better than anywhere else, so putting up with antics of a bored rich lord may be worth it.

That was awfully mean of him. Kind of funny, but mean.
It seems maybe a little unlike him, though; he doesn't seem to be in the habit of tormenting people just for the fun of it. He usually does it because it will in some way benefit Ankh-Morpork. But then again, maybe it helps with his reputation as a terrifying person?

That first chapter was priceless! Vimes and sonnyboy Sam in the tub, with father teaching son priceless lessons for life - absolutely adorable.

I did think that Vetinari was tad too low-level evil for his canon counterpart (bordering on mean), but the chapter was enjoyable nonetheless. If you haven't abandoned this altogether, I'd love to see more of these scenes (and I'm waiting for a Nanny Ogg one. Including dirty bathtime songs. Or maybe a scene about Nobby and a bath. Not in mutual agreement, of course.)
