I hoped that Nev would get better and she did. I'm glad I kept reading because I really enjoyed this story. It's well-written, has a good plot (it was a little confusing at times but it made sense once you explained things), and excellent character development. I really liked what you did with both Hunter and Nev. Nev got on my nerves at first but it was great to watch her grow up a bit and she was a fairly likeable character by the end. Thumbs up to you.

I take back my previous statement about Hunter. He's okay.

My statement about Nev still stands. Though at least she has a legitimate reason to hate Ally now.

Glad I kept reading. I'm intrigued.

No offense, but... Nev is coming across as a selfish jerk. I know Ally's supposed to be the wicked stepmother but at this point I'd sooner believe that Nev would sic a huntsman on Ally than the other way around. So far she hasn't done anything to deserve Nev hating her so much. Also, what's wrong with orchards? I love orchards. I'd totally play in the orchard (though probably not with Hunter).

Your writing is fairly good, you handle dialogue and descriptions very well and the premise of the story sounds interesting, so I'm still going to give this fic the benefit of a doubt and keep reading. I hope Nev gets better.

The end of the story! Time for my big, long, completely detailed review that I'm too lazy to write for all chapters. :) I want to end on a good note, so I'll start with the things I didn't like.

OK, forget that. I liked it all! You've already heard me complain about Nevada's character, but I think this last chapter here changed my mind. She's not active, but she has a great mind, which I love a bit more than activeness. I'm proud of her for choosing the right guy in the end! Hunter rocks! He was most definitely my favorite character. His sarcasticness made me laugh, his actions were all so noble, and I appreciated the fact that he wasn't too good-looking. On the other hand, you made the perfect, handsome, popular guy—the obvious Prince Charming—a coward and not worth Nevada's time. Applause for you! Ally was just the right mix of kindness veiled over pure evil. I enjoyed the fact that this wasn't fueled over pointless jealousy; rather, the "wicked stepmother" was working for someone else. I don't think that's something any retellings have ever done before! Good job! You did great with incorporating legends of the Tso'Ape in with the original Snow White fairy tale. And over all that, the writing itself was just amazing. It really seemed magical. I can't say exactly how, but it did.

So, overall... GREAT MUFFIN JOB!

Hooray! Hunter! Yess! I knew it! I'd much rather Nev ends up with him rather than Roy. Sigh. Oh, well.

I'm sorry, but Nevada is really just exasperating me! When she's falling, she's not thinking "Now what can I do to get myself out of this," but rather, "Why didn't they protect me? Why didn't they save me, because I can't do a thing for myself?"

I'm NOT saying that I don't like this story. I'm loving it! And I'm not saying I hate Nevada's character, either, just her herself. Did that make sense? I mean I hate her, but I think she's an awesome character... umm... that made sense in my head...

What I really like about this is that your adding so much more to the original tale—Jeribah and Hunter and Nev's friendship. That, and your awesome writing! And though I've said Nev seems to do a lot of running, she's still a great character. She's not flat or anything; she's REAL. While I' exasperated (ooh, big word!) by her dependence on others, I can actually relate to her. I can't wait to see what other plot elements you come up with!

It's kind of weird how they used to hate each other so much, and now they're almost best friends. (I'm talking about Nev and Hunter.) That's not a bad thing; I just hope that's explained in later chapters.

Nevada seems rather dependent on Roy. She's even dependent on Hunter, who she hates. Sorry if you don't like this review; I'm only trying to speak my thoughts. But Nevada seems dependent on EVERYONE—Roy, Hunter, the Tso'Ape. I understand that's how the original Snow White is, but still...

I'm sorry; I know these reviews aren't that great. But I wanted to say that your writing, in this chapter especially, seems almost magical. I don't know how or why, but it does.

Jerk! I want to reach into the computer screen and stab Hunter. Good job! You write really amazing characters. If I care enough about a character to want to stab them, it's a sign that the writer is doing a really good job. :)
