I hope you're doing well during this chaotic time. I realize you may not use this account anymore, considering fanfics have moved to AO3 in recent years, but I'm always behind on these things.

I've been on a nostalgia binge thanks to the pandemic. (Side-note: Imagine explaining the current situation to our early-2000s counterparts!) Reading and writing fanfiction was a big part of my adolescence, and I remember reading your stories long before I even made this account. I'm pretty sure I read this story first, and it's held a special place in my heart ever since.

I've loved the story of Peter Pan ever since I could talk, and the 2003 film holds a special place in my heart. Rachel Hurd-Wood and Jeremy Sumpter had such great chemistry as Wendy and Peter, so it was especially gutting to see them part ways in the end. Maybe in the Pan universe, there's a timeline where this is how it plays out. It's the ending Wendy and Peter deserve.

I don't believe in all my years I've read a fic that has struck me more than this one. In fact, since the time years ago that I originally read it, I have been searching for it on the internet, although without luck, as I only remembered bits, and just of the epilogue. How thrilled, then, I was, to happen onto this story after reading Awakened. You are a truly gifted writer and have woven a beautiful story of coming of age and of finding love. Thank you for giving us the chance to glimpse this adventure!

As you mentioned, him leaving Neverland was the way to go with this story, as that is exactly what Neverland is - a place for children and children's dreams.

So I see it's been 12 years since this story was fist posted. But it doesn't matter because truly this is one of the best Peter Pan fanfics I have ever read. I shipped Peter Pan and Wendy for well over 30 years and never thought to look for fan fiction. You did a awesome job.

I loved this story. You really brought the place to life again, and the story plot was interesting. You made me remember why I used to love Peter Pan.

Awakenings is more satisfying in terms of smut, but overall I love this story more because the characterization, emotion and plot are all virtually perfect.

This whole bit about leaving Neverland was rather sad for me, but I do accept that it is necessary.
