That was quite a good read, I enjoyed it immensely!
I especially liked the ending, where the little green-leaf has finally blown back home after being tossed about on the winds of war.

I truly enjoyed your emotional descriptions. Every movement, every mention of nature had life and emotional direction. Beautiful. It was wonderful seeing Thranduil, Gandalf, Elrond, Legolas through your eyes.

xkelbix chapter 18 . 5/13/2015
My words cannot justicely express my feelings as I read this magnificent story. For a good while I searched for a story about Thranduil (my favourite character) that protrays him as a great king and father who cares about the ones he loves but shows that he is also in pain from his great loss. Sure there are plenty of stories out there but none gripped my heart nearly as much as this one did. This story portrays Thranduil precisely as I imagine him; caring, gentle but with a bit of stubborness who holds the fate of his kingdom in his hands, not the moody and neglecting figure I often find in fanfictions. The evolution of his relationship with Legolas through this story was very well written and very believable. The past moments with the queen made my heart melt and Gandlaf and Legolas' relationship is absolutely adorable!

Now that the final Hobbit movie has been made with Lee Pace playing Thranduil, it only makes me wish even more that there could be at least one more movie focussing on Thranduil. And if it would be anything like this story, I can say I would be the happiest person in the world.
Guest chapter 17 . 4/22/2015
oooh... Legolas got youse good, Gandalf...
Guest chapter 9 . 4/21/2015
'the king was sitting beside the bed, hands clasping his knees. he was hunched over, face in his hands.' OK. so, major editing error, Thranduil moved, or does Thranduil have four arms in this fic?
Thilw chapter 18 . 4/20/2015
