Yeah, no. Jack may have had a gun in the truck, but in this circumstance it would be secured in a locked compartment and probably with magazines and the weapon itself stored separately. No chance of imminent combat so the time taken to retrieve it would be fine. ESPECIALLY considering what happened to Charlie. In fact because of that, and the fact he'd be surrounded by kids, NO WAY he'd have a firearm with him, even in the truck. A zat securely locked away maybe, but no actual gun. I know it's for plot/drama reasons, but even so...

Sam should have shown more sympathy (and interest tbh) in Jack and his injuries. Odd for friends much less people who are "supposed to be in a relationship". But, that's exactly the way Tapping would have played it in canon, so there's that.

I hope this doesn't degrade into a Sam/Jack story. Amanda Tapping thinks its gross (who knows why), and ever since I heard her say that S/J just isn't the same.

Oh I figured out what he found. I hoped I was wrong. I cannot suspend belief here that Jack of all people would bring an unsecured weapon to a camp full of kids.

I've read this a couple of years ago (ok, probably quite a lot of years ago...), and now I suddenly wanted to read it again.

It is still great, but I must admit that I laughed at your last author's note about not writing a sequel.

And Sam spending so much h time with the boys instead of her girls. No way she should ever be a counselor again.

Still good but tired of China and France doing too much stuff together. Too obvious that you want Sam and Jack together. I don't like that part of the story.

Seriously? Jack took a gun to camp. Oh wait, Shawn used Jack's truck keys to get into his truck, maybe to leave the bracelet, found the gun in the glove box and took it. So far that is the only thing I don't like about this story.

Good story but in this chapter I this chapter the kids were in the gym inside but there they were running outside and up and down hills and even on horses. What happened to the rain?
