Some thoughts.

A good look at Data. I love the ending. Leave it to Data to think about Spot right up until the end. He loved that cat.

How to say does a beautiful Star Trek story very well done and actually I couldn't you visualize it going down like that I saw Star Trek Nemesis I was quite shocked at data sacrifice himself like that but it was very well done very well constructed so it was nice very good very impressive you know cuz I don't I honestly wondered about that myself with that very impressive nice thank you I got to go my castle to go work on the warp engines the fictitious stories of my cat rated M for Mature audiences when he's not being a menace to society while drinking juice in South Central

The last line broke my heart.

I always did wonder what he would think at that time. And it sucked that Data had to die at the end of Nemesis. MAN, I HATED THAT!

'Who's going to feed my cat?' That was a good way to lighten the mood.

Data is such a good person. A better human than humans. It was not nice for him to die. I love the addition of the concern about Spot. It is so perfectly Data.

this is my first time seeing anyone write a fic about data in his last moments. sad yet poignant. could do with a bit of touch-up, so to speak, merely in the way his thoughts are expressed. as, data admits in the fic, he has no emotions to experience though he may well acknowledge some 'regrets'. i suggest you look up behavioral studies and personal accounts on what people who have suppressed their emotions to the extreme or who has "shut down" may perceive and interact with the world and base your data on that a little. i can also seeing this fic merely as the start of a 'verse; one in which data is found a put back together, or where he attains his coveted 'soul' at last and is reborn or something along those lines (perhaps in the btvs-buffy the vampire slayer-verse?), etc., etc.

I read this while listening to: watch?vnmDP-ic2sFA Sad. I saw a few grammatical mistakes, and if you had said "Spot" instead of "my cat" it would have been more personal and I feel a bit touchier. But that's just my opinion. Liked it a lot. :)

I agree with many others as well. Data should not have died there. They should have came up with something better but its likely the actor playing him just didn't want to remain in the line up and I'm sure most agree NOBODY can play the role better. So if that's the case there really wasn't anything else they could have done. Ahem, anyway great job here. No OOC as this was just as we would expect from Data. I look forward to whatever else your creative mind conjures up. Laserai out.

It's sad, really, thinking about Data's death. Even so, the last bit was a little humorous. Nice work.

That was so sad. I love Deta and I usually don't like his death fics, but this one was really good. I almost had tears coming to my eyes. Poor old Deta.
