WOW! What a downer. I was not expceting that. But other tnat the character death it was great.

This was...wow. I like the spare style, the matter-of-fact tone of this. I loved the way each drabble jolted me as I finished it, loved the tightly reined emotion in each. I don't know how I missed this when it was posted (on vacation perhaps?) but I'm glad I stumbled across it today. I sincerely hope you're working on something else!
