If this story ships vader and Forenze then that is super dumb. A human and a bird? C'mon, Forenze isn't even humanoid. Its ridiculous

It's a good story

I always liked Piett, he felt like a pretty cool guy for an Imperial and like he was one of the pretty normal guys just doing his job. None of the numerous atrocities committed by the likes of Tarkin or that suicidal overconfidence so common to *most* members of the Galactic Empire. It's a pleasant touch to have him defecting to the Rebel Alliance, one of the many enjoyable departures from the canon story that you've made on this journey.

And ever since the Prequels came out and we actually to see the Jedi order when it was in it's hayday...I've always felt much the same as Anakin is feeling now. The more I've learned about the Jedi, the more I've felt like they're ultimately just as much in a state of unbalance as the Sith are...though at the opposite end of the spectrum. Sentient beings aren't meant to completely detach themselves from each other or the world at large, that ultimately just leads to dysfunctional beings that aren't really maturely developed...which is why I feel like a *lot* of Jedi have turned to the Dark Side and become Sith or enemies of the Jedi Order, because they've shut themselves so utterly away from emotions for almost their whole life that when something *really* emotionally triggering happens, they just don't know how to handle it...

It's great story

What a fun story. I particularly enjoyi visualizing the DV helmet and voice with the oil stained coveralls and wise cracking lines. Thanks for writing.

I'm wondering why, when Palpatine and Kain had everyone beat, they retreated? It makes no tactical sense, unless the force sent by the Alliance was larger? In which case, I think you need to tell us that in the story. Of course, in that case, Cloud City is undoubtedly in serious danger as the Empire will undoubtedly be back.

Other than that, though, I did like this. And yes, I have to say that when I read this I thought 'You pulled a Reven on us!" *snicker* Always wanted to play Kotor, but never could. *sigh*
