Honestly, as I was reading your story I kept asking myself why I should care about your POVs? What is the point of them? In my opinion, a lot of what you wrote wasn't necessary to the story. The parts I read I did enjoy. I skimmed most of it and I hate doing that because you worked hard on your story.

I wish you didn't have so many POVs. I feel like that made your story slow. Like really slow. A third of the way through I started to skip everyone's POV but Naruto's. Your first chapters were difficult to separate from the actual story and your notes/comments.

"Demon-possessed and short". Good criteria for partnering up, I suppose. XD
And it is pretty logical for the pair of them to be short - one from malnourishment and one from insomnia. Barring pulling the "demonic interference" card of bullshit, that is.

Ah, well, this was fun while it lasted. Such an interesting story with lots of stuff made up because there wasn't a canon explanation yet (I think, considering the date) made it pretty original. I especially liked Sasuke and Sakon's... friendship? Friendship. Probably. But the characterizations of all the characters was interesting. Such as Gaara being still kinda (a lot) creepy but also caring in his own way, Naruto being rather disillusioned by life but still making the best of it, Itachi actually being a mass murderer instead on a secret Konoha mission...
You mentioned on your profile that while this fic is dead, you're willing to share how it was supposed to end. Does this offer still stand? I'm quite curious, even if also worried because I like happy endings but this is clearly not a story with the likelihood of it. Could you maybe tell me, please? :)

Gah. So many untied ends. Sugar coated evil lol. I actually like the fic name and your original characters. I really didn't want Kishio to die, and felt so bad for him that he had to witness how little the Raikage cared before he died, that his loyalty was one way and it feels like their village's belief in their Raikage was ill-placed. I'm on Gaara's side since I'm of the mentality of raze the whole place to the ground for hurting Naruto party, I'm sad that Naruto hates Gaara for what he did and angry and that Naruto took on the bond without learning more about it and so treats it like an insignificant thing. What Gaara feels for Naruto is deep. I want to see the Sakon and Sasuke interactions continue. Mentorship ftw because seriously Sasuke, you're an heir so you need to learn manners and protocols and what not :D I super like your portrayal of Orochimaru as a proper kage doing paperwork and such to maintain a village and all that. This is the second fic I've read that makes me want to live in Sound. Thanks for writing.

I hope Gaara and Naruto work things out. For better or worse they are partners, and that means something.

WEll, I personally would at least like to know what happens with Naruto and Gaara. Do they ever reconcile? I find it hard to believe Naruto could ever believe his own self-worth outweighs that of an entire village of people.

I loved the part where Naruto tried to distract Gaara.

Dang, what a place to abandon a story. I was really enjoying this, too. It's got a good balance of humor and drama. Sakon, Gaara, and Kisame especially just seem to automatically lead to funny dialogue.

A cliffhanger? You let the fic die on a cliffhanger? Dangit! Now I have to keep it on my watchlist just in case you ever update it! .

*sigh* Another great fanfiction brought to an end before it was finished...I liked the way you had the whole thing going-Gaara and Naruto's relationship, Kakashi not liking Anko, Shikmaru Temari and Kankuro all headed for sand, Sasuke and Sakons relationship, I like it all. Watch as this turn into one of my long rambling reviews, but oh well, this story deserves it. The Waterfall-nin way of keeping information safe is very well thouht out, and I haven't gotten into the series far enough, or done enough research, to know if the whole Hero Water, and the seals were canon, but I get the feeling you wouldv'e easily come up with something like that even if Hero Water and seals hadn't been the solution. The image I see whenever Itachi is annoyed in this story, especially bringing up him possibly breaking Naruto's arm, is just so funny to me. Like the idea of Gaara going- as I like to say- fangirl freak out over, say, some new weapon that he actually liked. Image that, Gaara going fangirl. Or Shikamaru doing chores for no apparent reason. I also liked the way this story was wrapping the characters together- The blood bond Akatsuki, Sasuke and Sakon somehow becoming attached to the other, Itachi finally meeting someone who can piss him off to no end, Sakura noticing Rock Lee and actually reflecting those feelings, Anko and Gai, Kakashi being jealous. Iruka and Genma, oh my, I can image the ships that are on tumblr. I will stick with that imagination, since I've seen enough creepiness out of the KakaRuka blogs and threads I've seen. DeiSori I can handle, but really, Iruka and Kakashi? I don't see it. I just don't. Oh well, look at me ramble, I sound like a 30 year old critic who has to write a story or some crap. And this is me trying to tone it down o-e Tch, writing was always a good thing though...I think you've inspired me to start making a fanfiction based on the Naruto world-with my own
