Reviews for The Naked Dead, And Her
Symphony's Feather chapter 1 . 2/9/2015
Oh gosh. Rikku and Auron are like Yuffie and Vincent and it's beautiful and wonderful and hilarious. I love you for writing Rikku perfectly.

(Just now in that way, ew ;) )

Kindly don't stop writing.

Anzer'ke chapter 1 . 10/15/2012
'CAPTAIN! WE HAVE A DIRECT HIT!'

'Where to, ensign?'

'THE FEELS CAPTAIN! WE GOT HIT RIGHT IN THE FEELS!'

And yet at the same time this wasn't purely mopey. Rather it was very, very...Rikku. Sad as hell and then cheery in a way that felt forced and genuine and cracked and perfect all at once. The hair thing was a brilliant touch on top of it all.

Definitely favourites.

Peace out and Rock on,

Anzer'ke.
Eight years too late chapter 1 . 5/18/2012
Oh god, this story had my in peals of laughter. It's fantastic.
zuckerwuerfelchen chapter 1 . 11/22/2011
You are an amazing writer, do you know that? And you can really believe me when I tell you that I may be one of the most critical readers on earth. There are very few stories that I find worth reading, in other words truly exceptional. Yours is definitely one of them. I mean, just start at how you manage to create this atmosphere. It seems so... natural. Also, I LOVE your interpretation of Rikku. It's just canon. And I prefer characters to be IC rather than OOC. But apart from all of that, you truly... have a gift. It's difficult for me to explain in English (see, it's only my third language xD), but what I mean to say is that you manage to write and let your readers read between the line and sink in into your story. You can write a lot without it seeming so. And though this particular oneshot deals with a rather sad theme, you managed to leave the reader with a certain feeling of calm optimism, sadness and happiness combined.

I ask you to forgive any mistakes I have made in this comment of mine, like I said, I try.

Do go on as you do and continue to spread the LOVE for Aurriku! 3

Sincerely, zuckerwuerfelchen
Guest chapter 1 . 10/17/2011
Um. Is it bad that I can't think of anything other to say about this except yes? Because if so, I fail.

This is amazing. This is amazingly amazing. This is so freaking amazing there aren't any words for it.

Congrats.
dreamsofthings chapter 1 . 5/20/2011
That was wonderful.
Axel's Ashes chapter 1 . 1/11/2010
AW, this was so sweet! Sad, but so sweet.
Er chapter 1 . 12/25/2009
Bathos, not pathos. I found this hilarious for all the wrong reasons. You've written Rikku like she's a crazy cat lady. Sorry, no nice way of putting it. You've obviously worked hard on this, which is good, but this fic is not sad, or even in character. Rikku reads like a parody of a parody. I think you should stick to writing comedy. Yup, this is sharp, but it's honest.
Loserfish chapter 1 . 10/23/2008
Amazing, amazing. I loved it.

I like how you wrote the thoughts slightly rambly and long, and it made it somehow more Rikku in the way, and more believable. I also loved the pinwheels little sidetrip about long hair - it brought a spark that made the piece special. :]
Omskivar chapter 1 . 9/25/2008
This is just the right mix of sad, sweet, and unbearably hilarious. Also, you had me laughing fit to bust at "big bloated death tick." I'm glad someone else thinks the same of Yu Yevon.
foxygirlchan chapter 1 . 7/29/2008
Best. Story. Ever.

You are one amazing writer. Your works always make me laugh, feel sad, inspire and think "god, there are so many intelligent people in the world why aren't they around me?"

This story is magnificent! I love Rikku and the idea of pinwheels instead of flowers, and I love her humungo crush and her talking to inanimate objects and happy faces. Also, the nod towards the long hair in X-2 (which I thought was a horrid sequel but what can you do?).

Anywho, the ending was sweet, and I lulz at Auron and his "no" face (probably) and his responses.

I feel so bad for Rikku. I wish Auron had lived. I also love the reference to liking Kimahri, which would have been hilarious and awesome at the same time.

Amazing job! Keep on doing what you do crazily and awesomely well!

Adios!
acidninjacake chapter 1 . 7/8/2008
That was so awesome. the whole thing actually felt as if it was written by Rikku herself. It was all a class and huge mess of words and lots of images going on at once, to the point that it was slightly confusing, but that is how i always imagined her mind to be like. Well done.
yro chapter 1 . 6/27/2008
Woow, I can't believe I didn't review this sooner. I read it ages ago and loved it, and now I've read it again and still love it!

I find Aurikku hard to like for some reason, but you've made this the most wonderful pairing in the world.
apostrophus chapter 1 . 6/18/2008
fdhfjkasdhfjk WUH ;_; That's so depressing, but so happy at the same time. :3 Nicely done. Rikku was pretty well characterized, too, I must say. The writing style might have been a bit difficult to wade through on occasion, but it wasn't bad at all. Keep writing~!

Icing Flower chapter 1 . 5/21/2008
I have not seen this level of talent in a long while. Your writing was so vivid and playful. It was like a collage of imagery and feelings that formed a beautiful living masterpiece.

I loved how you used the pinwheel imagery to keep the angst and tragic feelings at bay. It was adorable how their movement or lack thereof personified the characters they were a tribute to. You kept a very light and positive mood in your writing when it's more natural to make it depressing. I commend you for that. It's true to Rikku and makes this story stand out even more wonderfully.
