but when i did understand it right then kagome was never the reincarnate of kikyo...there was 500years between them, her Soul was Born again and again between...and kagome is the reincarnate of midoriko from what unerstand right, as kikyo herself was only a bad sould Born, she never was selfless an open minded alwas out for her own good, that is wh her Soul never was pure and did want inuyasha to become a human and she killed youkai even when they where good...
kagome was selfeless but very naive and sometimes stupi, she should have looked for a good teacher in this time, for fighting, miko power and youkai...and clothing ...but she was good...even hen she had a stupid puppy crush of a teen Girl to a badass Boy like inuyasha..who every good mother woul kick out of her house when her aughter shws deeper interest...
with sme years more she would see how ad a choice he is and goes looking for a real future husband not a simply crush-fling he was...

so i think koga will get his Change...

You and Resmiranda are truly kindred spirits in your capacity to write angst. I think maybe more than any other author you understand Kouga's feelings towards Kagome and I've read the majority of Kouga/Kagome fics out there. Too many times I've seen Kouga turned into a rapist, stalker or kidnapper(while he did kidnap Kagome the once he changed after that and wouldn't take her against her will again) and its just a complete misunderstanding of who he is. Either that or hes made out to only want her for her ability to detect the jewel shards. An opportunistic guy like Kouga isn't going to risk his own life multiple times to save someone on the off chance that they'll come with him and do the service wanted of them. He got really nothing out of helping Inuyasha fight Juuroumaru and Kageroumaru, hell he could have used that opportunity to leave him for dead and take Kagome but he didn't. Even at the end of the series when her ability was of no use as Naraku had all but Kohaku's shards he was genuinely saddened at having to leave her. I like the idea that hes biding his time until Inuyasha fucks up royally, its rather fitting considering hes a sly guy, given his plan to capture Kagome.

I like to think that after all he did for in this fic that she genuinely came to love him by the end and that giving up him was just one last loss she had to suffer, which makes this fic even more depressing. Beautiful, but depressing.

I'm not gonna lie I'm and InuKag fan 100% and in the series I found Kouga extremely annoying, but your story has made me see him a new light. I've never really stopped to consider Kouga's pain, or even the fact that his feelings for Kagome could be genuine. I was misty eyed through most of the story and by the time it was done I was crying like a baby.

I love a good, well written story that can invoke such strong feelings in me. All in all your story was amazing : )

i came across your one shot and i thought that your author's note was really fascinating. the concept of the story repeating over and over again, and kagome having to go through the cycle repeatedly is just very intriguing. i mean, for all we know, the next cycle is different, and the entire story changes completely. i think that deep down inside, kagome remembers what happened the last time, and it affects her behavior. your writing is so creative and original. i love koga's characterizatoin, how he decides to watch and wait, then swoop in as kagome's white knight.

what a strong story i had to actually think about it and i got the idea on why kagome had to die, to start all over again and hopefully that time naraku would be destroyed. usually im inuyasha kagome fan but this story intrigued me and i must say good job

I love the theory that Kagome could have gone back to the Sengoku Jidai multiple times over multiple lives, I have often wondered about that. Or if that would be possible.

I'm surprised I didn't catch this earlier. It was brilliant though. I always liked Kouga to some degree, but after reading this, I definitely have a deep respect for him. You somehow made me see just how deep he might actually love Kagome, and that opened my eyes. It was sad and heartbreaking, but enjoyable to read. I could sympathize with Kouga, and that made this worth reading to the end. Amazing job!

I cried during this, I truly did. For someone to love that passioinately, only to make the ultimate sacrifice of that devotion, I cannot even imagine.
