Niamh chapter 9 . 12/14/2006
Bribes? Begging? Pleading abjectly with tears in my eyes? Would anything work? Any thing to induce you to write a sequel. . . .

I absolutely love this story.

It has everything. Romance, drama, angst, dark humor, love. . . . and yeah, there's a bit of sex in there also. . .

Brilliant work. Sublime.

And I'm not even sure if you still check these reviews, or get them via mail, but I had to leave them. I absolulely love this story. I'm glad you decided to share it.
Niamh chapter 8 . 12/14/2006
Yeah, oh yeah, you can write romance.

Brilliant. Wonderful. Made me sigh and wish this had actually truly happened.
Niamh chapter 7 . 12/14/2006
You said in an author's note that you don't write romance. Bullsh*t. This chapter was all about real, rough, blood and guts romance. . . . to quote another character "love is blood seeking to work it's will" and boy, isn't this what you hit perfectly in this chapter. There isn't a line in this whole chapter that's out of place - or out of sync - this is, in a word, perfect.

Gloriously written.

Wish I'd done it myself.
Niamh chapter 6 . 12/14/2006
The moment you changed things, shifting it so that Calleigh should have gone with Horatio and didn't - you were setting this chapter up to highlight his feelings. Nice touch, him watching as it happened. You've done a bang-up job with this.
Niamh chapter 5 . 12/14/2006
"It had taken awhile for him to come back to Earth, to remember where he was, who he was, who she was, and when he had, he had simply turned away, because those feelings, those sensations...they weren't right."

Wow. . . just damn good line.

*sighs* This is so good. I can't begin to tell you how much I love this story. . . . it's almost like a dance. . . a slow pas de deux that sneaks under your skin and you don't realize it's there until the dance is already finished. *sighs*

Wonderful.
Niamh chapter 4 . 12/14/2006
As a writer, I know sometimes how you can write a paragraph, or a scene or an entire chapter and not believe any of it is good, or exactly what you wanted to say or anything - but trust me, this chapter was fine. The pacing was good, the interactions were good, Speed's thoughts were spot on, and really? You have nothing to worry about.

This line: "Whatever it was, he could feel the short hairs at the back of his head begin to stand at attention, as if they knew something that he didn't." Was perfect, as were the others in that paragraph.

Damn good chapter.
Niamh chapter 3 . 12/14/2006
I love the juxtaposition of their prospectives on that day in this chapter. . . and how the last thing on their minds was each other. It's a wonderful chapter.
Niamh chapter 2 . 12/14/2006
It's always hard to pace the delicate first steps in any relationship, but I think you've done it beautifully. And you've captured their characters so very well. Nary a misstep at all.
Niamh chapter 1 . 12/14/2006
I just discovered CSI Miami fanfiction (which is bizarre since I write BtVS. I read this story yesterday, and I've been haunted by it since then. By far and away the best explanation for "how Tim didn't die" or "How can we keep Tim alive?" that I've seen. Wonderfully, beautifully written confusion about his first initial reactions as he's swimming toward wakefulness, and Calleigh's confusion and guilt over the events of that day.
SincerelyInDenial chapter 9 . 10/11/2006
Oh gosh! This was exactly what I needed before I went to sleep. This was just such a pleasure to read. Exeptionally well written and I loved the chemistry between them you wrote. It was simply magical...beyond lovely. Bravo to you.
