I love this so much! I do wish kagome ended with Hojo. This is so cute! I wish there was another part to go along with it! It’s amazing and I’ll definitely read this again!

I really enjoyed that, I hated when Inuyasha came back though, I wanted her to end up with Hojo! I really liked the story though, and the use of repetition to convey how Kagome's mood had changed.

From the summary, I thought this would be all angst and from an unrequited love's perspective but it turns out, the summary is a bit misleading, eh? Because in the end, Hojo got what he desired, Kagome found what she was looking for (without even knowing it), and InuYasha did return but now not pursued with the same urgency.

The development of Hojo and Kagome's relationship was nice - I like how he came after her as a friend and not as a suitor. It's interesting that you had him perceptive enough to know that she lost more than an imaginary material object. Although this astuteness adds to his image of him knowing Kagome more than she thinks, I think that part still may be a bit off for his character since he doesn't hang around her that often beyond those sporadic moments in class. Then again, it's been a while since I've watched the show.

As for the kiss, I actually think Kagome would not be at that stage in her feelings for Hojo yet. A kiss on the cheek is more believable and I say this because while yes, he's been there for her, it almost seems like she has completely forgone her feelings for Inuyasha. You did mention how she's still affected by his presence, yes, but not the love part. It's just that last scene with Hojo seems to suggest that she has moved on from Inuyasha already. And that is the part I'm puzzled about.

Yes! Hojo/Kagome! Great job; I love it! Normally, in the other fics I've read, Kagome spends the fic pining away for Inuyasha and using Hojo as a sub. But this was great in that she DID appear to be using him as a sub, but came to realize that he was right for her. Seriously, Hojo and Akitoki Hojo are so much better for her than Inuyasha, it's not even funny...Great job!

That was nicely done. Very nicely. And, in my opinion, everyone got what they deserve: Inuyasha his fighting friend; Kagome, someone to love who cherishes her for -her-; Hojo.. Kagome. _ Even the twist where Inuyasha comes running back to get Kagome... I don't really like his fair-weather-friend-y way in that, but that added its own touch to the story.

Normally, I despise Houjo since he reminds me of the preppy boys from my preppy school but now I actually kinda like Hojo x Kagome. Simply a miracle.
