The only Crossgen fic worth reading in the site and I leave it unread for years? For shame. In a nutshell, that was an excellent read as far as I am concerned and I like this conclusion to Ruse far more than the official stuff we were going to get in the last issues of Negation War.

I have yet to read a fanfiction from any fandom that does its characters as much justice as you have done for Ruse. Thank you for perfect characterizations within a believable story. This story makes my heart flutter everytime I read it! Even moreso for that last chapter...*swoon*!

As an aside: Ruse is coming back to print this March (2011) courtesy of Marvel/Disney with a 4-issue storline written by series scribe Mark Waid. March 2nd can't get here fast enough!

Let me just say that this story was amazing. You managed to portray the characters perfectly and the explanation that you gave for the series was brilliant. Great work!

I read this story some time ago, and my apologies for not reviewing sooner. This is an excellent fic, and helped greatly to satisfy the holes left by CrossGen's unsatisfying 'ending' of Ruse. Ruse was, and is, my all-time favorite comic series, and the only one I ever followed religiously! Thank you for a wonderful piece of work!

I am not an uber crossgen fan but i understand that all the stories intermingle i just liked ruse for itself... and that was one of the best fanfics i have ever read. I don't think that a year after writnig your fic you will check the reviews but i just have to tell you on the off chance that you might read this that i cried it was so good thanks for the happy ending!

My libray stoped geting new ruse so i am lost! The last i saw of emma and simon the were in the jungle after a ballon crashed w/ miranda cross... it is a task to keep up here

Okay. God bless you and your family line. This is one of my favorite stories I've run into on and it's good to see a fic for a comic I know and love that keep Simon and Emma the way we know. I applaud your attention to canon; this story makes up for the fact that Crossgen crashed and sold Ruse to Disney.

I'll admit to you now that I spent my entire day at work surreptitously reading this story, and it was well worth it. Great job with the voices of the characters, and I really love all the work that went into this story - such a rich backstory made it very enjoyable indeed. My one quibble is that I've seen the A&E P&P a bazillion times, so I could see where you relied on similar lines in this story ("this is a faithful narrative of all my dealings with..."), but it's such a small quibble. Not to mention the original comic gives a nod to the miniseries as well. :-)

UST Unresolved Sexual Tension :D

Okay, I have a question and an answer, of sorts.

First, what does UST mean? I've never been good with acronyms. I have an idea what it means, though.

As to a sequel, I'm not planning to write one. I consider the relationship between Simon and Emma more or less resolved at this point. I DO have plans to write a prequel - the story of how they first met, which will be very amusing. That will have to wait until I finish my thesis, though.
