A sweet and touching look at Christmas as only the guys could see it.:D

I was looking for a good Christmas story and I found one! This is priceless. Glad Starsk got his tires back. :)
Smithy chapter 1 . 1/8/2007
Point of order: Isn't Starsky Jewish? So it would be Happy Hanukkah, right?
Maggy chapter 1 . 1/11/2005
First- this is one of my all-time more-than-favorite television shows. The first time I checked the fanfic, most of it was for the (ptui) travesty of a movie. Now I'm glad to see some real ffic being written!

To the story: this is excellent. Our heroes seeing Santa is completely perfect and- in the context of mid-seventies shows- believable. You've nailed the two characters and their attitudes towards Christmas, beautifully enhancing that with Santa's assessment of them. The "gifts" from St. Nick were fabulous.

I loved your story, and will be looking for others.

(Small criticism from a first-gen fan: I thought you went slightly overboard with Starksy's protestations in the first couple of paragraphs. Surely he would have tried a little harder to *tease* his partner out of his apparent negativism? (... maybe there were just too many exclamation points?) :-) )

HOWEVER- the bit where Hutch tried to get a word in edgewise about one of Starsky's typically ramshackle taco joints and just let it go by... that was perfect!

Thanks again! (It's going on my favorite stories list.)

Heh-heh. Okay.

I don't know how I missed this one! I have you on my Author Alert list, but I didn't receive notification of this one! How rude!

:D

But, I'm glad that I found it now!

I love this image! Wordlessly, perfectly communicating. It's so cool. And one of the reasons why people still love "Starsky and Hutch."

It was really great that you made it a point of reminding us that Starsky's left-handed, by saying, "He smashed his left fist into his right palm." :D Had to grin!

This was such a sweet story! I love that Santa called Hutch a "White Knight," and that Starsk's tires were replaced. :D

So cool, cool, cool!

Thanks.

Merry Christmas!

Cute little story, fast paced and made me laugh. Thanks for sharing.
LilStripedTomato chapter 1 . 12/18/2004
Hi there! Great new story, I love it! I'm glad they got to meet Santa, it was just so depressing at first! And I'm glad the Tomato got new tires, I was worried about it, lol! It was very cute, and I also think that Hutch truly likes Christmas, and just wants to be thought of as 'thinking outside the box'. This story made my smile factor go way up! I hope no children saw the robber Santa! That reminds me of an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger where these guys robbed armored cars dressed as Santa. Gage shot one of them, and there were little kids around because it was outside a mall. I mean, how many of them were traumatized for life? 'Mommy, that bad Ranger just shot Santa, will Christmas be canceled?' Poor children. Anywho, Merry Christmas in advance! And a Happy New Year as well!

Wonderful; just what I needed! It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of things that need to be done, so thanks for giving us just a touch of the magic.

Happy holidays to you and yours.
