...This is amazing. It was perfectly in character, and it made SO MUCH SENSE! I wish this had actually been a part of the anime :)

Oh, I'm so very happy to have read this! Retasu is usually a very neutral character for me...and I generally don't hate or love her in fanfiction, but I really don't seek out fanfics for her because her character is usually just shown as sweet, shy little bookworm Retasu. Of course, that's all very in character for her and there's nothing wrong with just sweet, shy little bookworm Retasu, but it's just not that interesting to read about and I don't know if I'd say I struggle through the story (depends on the story, of course) but I'm not really hooked and I'd probably only read the story once. This however, I could probably read five times. I'm not quite sure how to describe everything I loved about this story. I'm very glad it was in character or if it was ever slightly out of the normal character, it was done so believably it really didn't matter. For instance, I don't know if I'd say her pessimistic thoughts are something you could say you got out of the manga or anime, but you don't really hear her thoughts, anyways...and given how often she apologizes for her little mistakes...and how she's treated by other characters or lets herself be treated by characters like the girls she hangs out with that bully her, you could definitely imagine her harboring some sort of self-hatred. I'm not very good at explaining my thoughts, but the point is that the characterization was very believable. I also really enjoyed how you used small little character traits like Ryou's feline DNA and him mentioning how difficult it is to hide from a cat. His DNA doesn't seem to be mentioned much unless someone has him change into Alto, but I haven't read TMM fanfiction in a while... I really enjoy the way you describe things, as well. You don't have too much description and you don't have too little. I had more to say about this, but I can't remember now, sorry. I found this oneshot by accident when I saw your PaiKish story (which I have yet to read, but I'm planning on it right after this) and then I went to check out your profile and I realized I've read your writing before :) Your Denial story is possibly my favorite PurinTart story and I'm glad you're writing again (since you seem to have taken a vacation from FF) I look forward to reading your stories and seeing how you handle certain characters/pairings/situations. I'm really looking forward to Bloom :) Sorry for rambling...anyways, I'll be sure to subscribe to you so I get an update when you post new stories and...yeah. I hope you write more!

This is really beautiful! I was never much of a Ryou/Retasu fan until seeing episode 41, but even if I wasn't, your story would have converted me. I love the depth of character that you give to Retasu.

Okay, first things first. I loved your story and honestly, I don't really understand why you haven't gotten more reviews. I loved it. It gave me shivers, made me cry, and Retasu and Ryou is my all-time favorite couple. They just look so cute together. I've never seen the anime, but I've read the manga. Now I want to see the anime. Your writing is in depth and your characters are set perfectly to the right wavelength. I'm writing a Retasu/Ryou story as well, so look for it soon. Even though this was an unplanned one-shot, it was very well written and had the clarity to make me feel almost every emotion that the characters did. Please, write more like this, if you can. You are a very good writer and I enjoyed this fan fiction. You are on my favorites list. Thanks!
