This entire chapter with Kurtis is, once again, perfection. You just write him so well! I'm amazed, honestly.

Kurtis-heavy chapter is always good. I loved it. I found her descriptions of his powers and how he escaped to be the best I've ever read in a fic, bar none. I loved him speaking Latin, it's like he literally went medieval on their asses. It's just plain cool.

Omg I got chills at Karel's "Leave him. Leave him to die." "That is what mortals do, is it not? They die." "Perhaps you even enjoyed it - wielding the ultimate power." "Then why didn't you do it even more often?"

STONE COLD muthafucka.

I see that when Karel notices his poking and prodding her to kill Kurtis doesn't work, he back-peddles and tries a different method, appealing to her compassion to put him out of his misery instead, and acting as though he doesn't really like killing. He's so damn good.

I said I wasn't going to write a review for every single chapter, but I *do* want to go back and point out parts/chapters that I especially loved. Which will be very hard to do, mind you, as I loved ALL OF IT. I read this whole thing in one sitting and haven't been able to get it out of my head all day, so please bear with my fangirling.

So this is where I initially wonder if there's some supernatural manipulation going on. The thing is, it's so masterfully written to where I can't tell if it's that or if Lara is just really, really sleep-deprived.

You describe what she's going through so well. I could so easily place myself in her shoes and understand her reasoning for just going "fuck it all" and joining the dark side, especially when *that* exhausted. The poor woman needs her rest. I also love how mysterious Karel seems in this chapter. Hell, *I* had butterflies in my stomach this whole chapter, anxious and nervous to find out what he's going to say, do, etc. Like, what was he thinking? Did he ever dream she'd actually accept his offer? They went from enemies to allies in the blink of an eye. It's crazy.

Why am I only just now reading this fic? I suppose I was initially turned off from reading it due to the lack of Kurtis, but holy cow is this great! I love reading this darker side of Lara, enjoy exploring the what-ifs of her accepting Karel's proposal. Am I right in thinking there might be a little mind-manipulation going on with Lara? I'm so intrigued, and frustrated that the fic ended on this particular chapter right before you know what happens! I see is been years since an update but I hope you haven't given up on it. I found every chapter amazing, both in storytelling and writing, and every scene left me on the edge of my seat anticipating what was going to happen. I found everyone in-character and even thought the reasoning behind Lara's turn to the dark side was well thought out and justified.

Anyway I won't write a review on every chapter but to let you know I read it all and lapped it up.

Another reread done. Still enjoyed it as much as the first time. Really hope you'll continue eventually.

Heya! I've read dis story a few times already and was blown away. At first I kinda dislike the part where Kurtis dint feature that much, but as the story progresses, my intrest of him faltered. Now i'm a major Karel fan bcus of dis story n I do hope you'll update fast...and full marks for ur writting style too! U shud write a novel gurl!
