Earcalien, thanks for your review. Narration and dialog...for me both are sometimes difficult and always time consuming to write. I do a lot of research, checking canon accuracy, spelling, and continuity within the story. A first draft is followed by numerous revisions before I post. I don't work with a beta reader or editor, and so I have to go over the content again and again, trying to make the descriptions and language flow.

Some of the content and some of the behaviors/beliefs of the characters may be difficult for readers when they don't portray favorites as JRRT revealed them in his works. One must remember that those descriptions are fixed in the time of his stories. I have no doubts that the characters' attitudes, behavior, and beliefs changed over the course of the thousands of years covered in this tale. They learned through living, just like anyone else. So, they may act one way at one point in this story, but eventually they change, and by the time they are portrayed as they were in JRRT's canon works, they will be as he presented them.

I hope that you continue to enjoy this story, and that it remains a satisfying read.

I like your writing style! Many lotr stories are first person and I like that as well, but this is more unusual and its nice. I tried to write a review for chapter 1, but it said only one review per chapter and since I had done that pre-review of excitement, I was not allowed. I'm not actually familiar with Xena and its fandom so I will google the backstories of the characters mentioned in this chapter.

I have not yet started to read, but I saw this story was like 1900 pages and I got so excited to find such a long work on Tolkien! This is some real dedication! I am so excited to begin

Interesting chapter, I was wondering if you plan to have the main characters play be a part of the quests during the hobbit & lord of the rings or do they know whats happening and just try to help out? I know it's going to be a while before asking but i couldn't resist, by the way really enjoying your story binged read it since i found it, got me to watch Xena Warrior Princess as i was wondering what it was and found it really good so thanks for that.

Guest: Sorry I can't reply directly, but thanks for your review on chapter 87. Yes, I believe the exiling of the Onodrim from the Greenwood was a result of their fading power in the Third Age. All things diminished in nobility and majesty until we were left with the world as we find it now.

It seems that every few years I return to apologize for the delays and post some chapters. This time there will be nine chapters concluding the Kin-strife of Gondor, a segment I wish I'd both gone into more and less detail with. As before, I promise to finish this story one day. I now have 13 years involved in it, off and on, and I can't seem to let it go. So, barring viral outbreaks, a zombie apocalypse, or an alien invasion, you will eventually read the conclusion of Helluin's tale.
