| Gigira chapter 1 . 12/2/2015 (Got an account but forgot to log in before typing this review) Laryn is a hell of a bastard and I hope Vader - uh, or Anakin I suppose, given that he uses his real name - strangles him slowly and painfully. Well, no, that really isn't fair, is it? I mean, Stryden is so frustrated with his station that he takes it out (I assume incessantly) on poor Laryn, who in turn, doubtlessly as disillusioned as his superior, takes a petty revenge by shutting up when he's told to and guaranteeing that Stryden's endures Va- Anakin's wrath. The worst is that they just don't give a damn about the young local who was killed in the process, and thus an untruthful yet innocent-looking slogan for the Navy ends up claiming a child's life. Clearly the biggest tragedy here doesn't reside in Luke's death at Han's hand... Fics like this make you realise the whole wrongness of the Empire. Loved the cynicism and the irony, though - everything makes sense, it feels so implacable. Thanks for sharing. |
