Great story!

It was interesting reading Katar's thoughts about Zuko. We as watchers of the series knew at this point that Zuko was not as heartless and vile as Zhao, but Katara didn't, and giving how fast she was on accepting him in Ba Sing Se, I can totally see her reflecting on him a lot. So yeah, nice one.

That was a nice introspective.

I love this! Katara is believable, full of endearing self-doubt. I like what you put in about Katara's mother guiding her, with the incidents concerning the necklace. This technically fits with the canon, as well. It could be seen as a Zutara romance, if you want it to be, but not necessarily; I like that.

Here's an idea: what if you wrote a second chapter - or a sequel/companion - with Zuko's thoughts about Katara after "The Waterbending Scroll." They might not be quite as conflicted as Katara's, but it was their first close encounter, his first real impression of her. Just an idea.

It's really quite nice. It makes the gaps in between the series more vivid, and we never "hear" the thoughts of the characters. It seems also quite realistic. I like to think of this a like one probable beginning to Zutara. Your story fits well :) thanks

This fic was great! I always wondered what her though process would be right after HE let her go. The different conclusions are great, the second guessing of herself and her thoughts about him, all tie together to present a picture of great writing. Thanks.

I think you had a good instinct when you chose not to use his name, made it al that much more poignant since she shouldn't be thinking of HIM, like she doesn't even dare think his name orit'll be even "worse". Lovely one shot.

I really liked this. It really shows that you've been paying attention to the show and the characters personalities. A lot of people are quick to say Zuko is evil just because he's trying to capture Aang but don't take the time to understand WHY he's doing it, or even pay attention to the things he's done that most firebenders wouldn't do, such as leaving Katara's villiage in peace. So you get points for that!
