I love it when authors take an idea presented by a show’s writers, and then explore the details and depth of that idea by using their imagination. It’s tricky to try to stay in line with how the characters are written and how the actors portray those characters, while still adding one’s own touch to the situation. I think that you did a wonderful job with this story and you incorporated how the characters actually behave on the show.

I also like stories that contain the literary elements that are essential for good writing. So I was impressed by the following statement, “There are patches of time, snippets of life, that one will always remember. Those dynamic spans that are so momentous that even in the moment you know it - that this, this is a turning point. And you know your life forever will be...different.”

Good story. Great writing, as always, although, personally speaking, I thought that the "I was in a fog, and I couldn't see" line was a bit melodramatic. On the other hand I felt that the last paragraph worked really well. To be my usual ridiculously picky self, "a emotion-fuelled romp" should presumably have been "AN emotion-fuelled romp".

Nice story, Carter and Kem belong together.

FINALLY! A Carter/Kem fic! And on top of that, one that acknowledges that Kem is NOT a cold-hearted, manipulative you-know-what whose only goal was to steal Carter away from Abby. You don't know how long I've been hoping one of these will pop up - all you see around this section is "Carby this" and "Carby that".
